Best Werewolf One Bar Sets
Tide-Born Wildstalker is an excellent set now for Werewolves, giving us big bursts of direct damage against our enemies. This set is also crafted is easy to create in the exact weights and traits that you need.
Next, Order’s Wrath is another powerful crafted set in ESO that increases both your Critical Chance and Critical Damage – two important stats for any Werewolf build! Keep in mind, with crafted sets you can try to run one heavy armor piece and one light armor piece at least to unlock the Undaunted Mettle passive.
The Oakensoul Ring Mythic is one of the easiest Mythics for Werewolf builds as there isn’t really any downside to using it while in Werewolf form, since you are stuck to using one skill bar anyway, and it will still provide you with a few powerful buffs for using it.
With our one remaining gear slot it’s recommened to use a one-piece Monster Set for an additional bonus. Slimecraw or any other Critical Chance set is recommended here.

Alternate Werewolf One Bar Sets
If you’d like even more healing on this build at the expense of some extra damage, The Ring Of The Pale Order can be used in place of Oakensoul. This will also give you a more flexible build outside of Werewolf Form.
For alternate 5-piece sets, Pillar Of Nirn can be quite strong for damage if you are able to control the proc and keep it triggered on enemies.

Ring of The Pale Order
LVL 50 – CP 160
SET BONUS
(1 item) Restore 20% of the damage you deal as Health. This value is decreased by 4% per ally you are grouped with. You cannot be healed by anyone but yourself, your pets, or your Companions.
Bleak heraldry covers the surface of this knightly signet. Those who place it on their finger feel a cold rush of power … and a deep, nagging paranoia.

Best Werewolf One Bar Race
I prefer Khajiit for this build due to their increased Critical Damage and Critical Healing, though any stamina-focused race will work fine too. For more details on all ESO Races and passive bonuses be sure to check out our Full ESO Race Guide.
Best Werewolf One Bar Class
Sorcerer is often the preferred class for Werewolf builds in ESO due to their increased Physical Damage and cost reduction for skills and ultimates. However, thanks to subclassing we can now mix different skill lines to get the best possible passives for our werewolf build. For that I recommend mixing Sorcerer, Templar and Necromancer. Specific skill lines are listed below.
Best Werewolf One Bar Mundus Stone
The Lover Mundus is recommended for if you are attempting instanced content such as group dungeons or solo or group arenas and trials. The reason for this is these enemies have much higher armor and thus require higher base Offensive Penetration.

The Lover
Increases Physical and Spell Penetration by 2744
With 7 Divines armor pieces
Increases Physical and Spell Penetration by 4489
For Overland content such as Delves, Public Dungeons and Questing, the Thief Mundus is usually preferred as these enemies have much less armor and you can focus on Critical Chance rather than Offensive Penetration.

Increases the Critical Strike rating by 1333
With 7 Divines armor pieces
Increases the Critical Strike rating by 2167
Best Werewolf One Bar Food/Drink Buff
Bewitched Sugar Skulls works amazingly well on Werewolf builds in ESO as your abilities are very cheap to cast so you don’t need any Stamina Recovery and can instead focus on Max Health, Max Magicka and Max Stamina.

Bewitched Sugar Skulls
Increase Max Health by 4620, Max Stamina and Magicka by 4250, and Health Recovery by 462 for 2 hours.
These effects are scaled based on your level.
Best Werewolf One Bar Potions
The best potion for this one bar werewolf build is tri-stat potions, also known as tri pots or crown tri restoration potions. These restore Magicka, Stamina and Health all in one shot, plus increase your Magicka Recovery, Stamina Recovery, and Health Recovery, making them the ideal choice for survival with this buid.
Most players cannot afford keeping too many of these expensive potions on hand in game, so options like Stamina or Magicka potions can also be used, while saving the Tri Pots for dungeons and arena.

Best Werewolf Subclassing Build Skill Lines
This build uses Subclassing for maximum effectiveness. The recommended skill lines for this build are:
- Sorcerer Storm Calling – The storm calling skill line provides passive bonuses to Physical Damage as well as passive Recovery and bonus damage based on missing enemy Health.
- Templar Aedric Spear – This skill line provides bonus Weapon and Spell Damage plus armor thanks to the Balanced Warrior passive, as well as extra damage through Burning Light.
- Necromancer Grave Lord – The primary benefit from using Grave Lord is the Rapid Rot passive which increases Damage Over Time effects by 10%.

- Deadly Cloak
- Blazing Spear or Radiant Ward
- Biting Jabs
- Critical Surge
- ULT: Werewolf Berserker
Werewolf Solo Skills Explanation
- Brutal Pounce – use this to close the distance between you and groups of enemies. The ability becomes a gap closer when you are at a sufficient range. While you are in melee range to ability converts to an AOE DOT that lasts 10 seconds, but also ramps up in duration up to 30 seconds if you recast it early. This makes it extremely good versus bosses as well as it lasts quite a long time once fully recast.
- Hircine’s Rage – this skill delivers a ton of value, acting as a massive burst heal when you need some extra healing in an emergency, but also boosting your damage by 12%, restoring a ton of Stamina, and also buffing you passively with Major Brutality and Major Sorcery, which is an essential damage buff.
- Ferocious Roar – another great buff skill which passively grants you Major Savagry and Major Prophecy which increases your Critical Chance. When you cast this skill you and your allies also gain Major Courage which increases weapon and spell damage, and a synergy (which you can take too!) that boosts damage and grants Minor Force to increase Critical Damage. More importantly for solo content, this skill fears enemies which will stun them for a good duration so you take less damage.
- Rip and Tear – while this skill does solid single-target DPS, I’ve found its best use for a solo Werewolf build is debuffing enemy armor with Major Breach. Make sure to use this against bosses and elites so that all of your abilities do more damage.
- Bloodclaws – use this for the extra damage as well as a strong healing effect.
- ULT: Werewolf Berserker – this is the best Ultimate morph for a Werewolf solo build thanks to its increased damage potential with the Major Berserk buff passively and bonus bleed damage which gets added to your light and heavy attacks.
One Bar Werewolf Rotation
Basic Rotation
Start combat by changing into Werewolf Form and buffing with Hircine’s Rage, then use Feral Pounce to get into melee range, cast Deafening Roar to fear the enemy, followed by Bloodclaws and finally spam Rip and Tear until your next ability needs to be refreshed.
Notes
Make sure to light attack between each ability for maximum damage using your built in Werewolf bleed effect.
Werewolf Passives
Class
Take all of your Class Passives, even though some will only work outside of Werewolf form.
Werewolf
Weapon
Weapon passives do not work in Werewolf Form, but can still be taken to improve your non-Werewolf build.
Armor Passives
- Grace
- Evocation
- Spell Warding
- Prodigy
- Concentration
- Dexterity
- Wind Walker
- Agility
- Athletics
- Resolve
- Constitution
- Juggernaut
- Revitalize
- Rapid Mending
Recommended Companions
If you like playing Solo, this build can benefit greatly from using Companions! This Solo build will benefit the most from the additional healing and buff options a healer-focused Companion can offer, so if you are going to use a Companion I would suggest a full healer build for them. I recommend Mirri Elendis for Companion on this build with the setup below. More information on Companions Builds and Skills can be found in our detailed Companion Guides section.
Recommended Gear
- All Light Armor – Quickened Traits
- Restoration Staff
Recommended Skills
Additional Skills
The skills below may also be helpful in other situations such as trash pulls.
Full Companion Build: INFUSOR
The INFUSOR Build is an easy Healing Set Up for Mirri Elendis, one of the new Companions available to ESO players starting in the Blackwood Chapter. The theme of this build is focused around Blood Magic Healing, as Mirri’s own class skills are very similar to that of a Nightblade.
