Nightblade Class Overview
The Nightblade Class is an extremely powerful way to play in The Elder Scrolls Online. Nightblades have many powerful abilities located in their dedicated Class Skill lines for DPS, for Healing, and for Tanking. Nightblades are a great choice for dealing damage, mobility and healing, and are very fun for both PVE and PVP content in ESO. For a more detailed guide be sure to review our ESO Nightblade Class Guide.
Nightblade’s make great healers due to their Siphoning skill lines in Passives. They uniquely can heal while outputting great damage. Moreover, Nightblades generate some of the fastest ultimate in the game. Thus, you see them in the end game raiding scene within ESO.
Nightblade Healer Primary Sets
First, the Perfected Vestment of Olorime, found in the Veteran Cloudrest Trial, is a must-have to give massive damage buffs to your allies by granting Major Courage. This effect can last for 20 seconds, and since it can occur once every 10 seconds, it doesn’t have any downtime. You can grant this buff by applying a ground area of effect skill while in combat to anyone who is standing in the ability.
Next, Perfected Stone-Talker’s Oath, a light armor set, found in the Veteran Rockgrove Trial, can grant an insane amount of Stamina and Magicka back to allies within 10 seconds of you Heavy Attacking an enemy. This set is perfect for keeping your group’s resources high throughout difficult content!
For our Monster Set, Earthgore provides a great bonus healing effect to the lowest health member of your group which is huge help in keeping your team mates alive! Consider running this set in Heavy Armor or Medium Armor to increase your defense as well as resources via the Undaunted Mettle passive.
Grand Rejuvenation is a 2-piece set found in Dragonstar Arena that also has a perfected version to add extra Magicka, which is always nice for healers. Every time you cast Grand Healing or any of its morphs (found under the restoration skill line) this staff invigorates you and group members by restoring Magicka and Stamina.

Best Nightblade Healer Attribute Points
The most important attribute for a Nightblade Healer is Magicka. Players want to stack as much magicka as possible to help with the power of your spells, increase size of damage shield, and gives you more resources until you run out of magicka. Most players should be at least 18,000 health if not 22,000 health in Veteran Dungeons or Trials. Therefore, you may need to adjust attributes or a health glyph as you progress and do more hardcore PvE content. Until then, use 64 attributes into magicka, 0 for health, and 0 for stamina.
64 Magicka
0 Health
0 Stamina
Best Nightblade Healer Race
Many healers run into the same problem: not having enough Magicka or Magicka Recovery. To help deal with these common healer issues, Breton makes the most sense. Breton Passives will reduce the cost of our healing skills and increase Magicka Recovery making this Race the best overall choice. If you are more experienced and know how to tackle these problems, you can run a Khajiit to maximize critical healing or Argonian for the bonus to healing done.
For more details on all ESO Races and passive bonuses be sure to check out our Full ESO Race Guide.
Best Nightblade Healer Mundus
The best Mundus Stone for a healer is the Thief due to the increase in critical chance. This helps you in all aspects of gameplay including damage! Some other choices are below:
- Atronach: increase magicka recovery per. Use this if you still struggle with resource sustain.
- Ritual: increase healing effectiveness. Can use if you’re purely healing doing no damage.
- Mage: increases your max magicka pool. Use this if an item set scales off of max magicka.

Best Nightblade Healer Food & Drink Buff
The best consumable buff for the Nightblade Healer build is Clockwork Citrus Filet. This buff grants max health, health recovery, max magicka, and magicka recovery. It gives you everything you need to resource sustain with extra health for survival. An alternative is Witchmother’s Potent Brew. This is a cheaper and easy to find on Guild Traders version of Clockwork Citrus Filet. Not as powerful, but affordable!

Clockwork Citrus Filet
Increase Max Health by 3326, Health Recovery by 406, Max Magicka by 3080 and Magicka Recovery by 338 for 2 hours.
Ingredients: Red Meat, Lemon, Frost Mirriam, Perfect Roe

Witchmother’s potent brew
Increase Max Magicka by 2856, Max Health by 3094, and Magicka Recovery by 315 for 2 hours.
These effects are scaled based on your level.
Ingredients: Nightshade, Bervez Juice, Rice, Small Game
Best Nightblade Healer Potions
The best potions for the Nightblade Healer build are Spell Power Potions also known as Essence Of Spell Power. These potions grant you spell power, and spell critical buff. That helps free up skills on your bar and consume potions on cooldown to keep 100% uptime on these buffs. With the Medicinal Use passive in the alchemy skill tree, you can increase the duration of your potions effects. Essentially, the duration last 47.5 seconds with a cooldown of 45 seconds. Therefore, this passive becomes critical to obtain to keep higher uptime on buffs.
Using the skills Inner Light and Degeneration from the Mages Guild will allow you to run other potions such as basic Magicka Potions in order to save gold.

Try your best to keep up all ability timers as much as possible and refresh them whenever you need to. Remember as well to always heavy attack on the back bar to proc Stone-Talker’s Oath if using that set. Also be sure to mention when you’re about to use Warhorn so it isn’t wasted.

ESO Nightblade Healer Class Mastery
Players that reach level 50 in ESO while also fully reaching Rank 50 for their class skill lines and not subclassing can use 2 Class Mastery passives to improve their build. For the Nightblade Healer I recommend Share the Spoils which grants group members additional Magicka, Stamina and Ultimate, along with Above and Beyond which will boost your Critical Healing by 25%. If you are consistently attacking and want even more Ultimate generation, swap Above and Beyond for Nocturnal Inspiration.

Share the Spoils
Secrets and coin are tools as sharp as the daggers you wield.
