Tide-Born Wildstalker is a powerful set focused on buffing Direct Damage. This will buff all of our main damage sources including Puncturing Sweeps.

The Oakensoul Ring is the new go-to Mythic Item that packs a punch for one bar builds. delivering many powerful Major and Minor buffs.
Finally, one piece of Kra’gh is going to be best in slot for attempting instanced content such as soloing dungeons or trials.

Magicka Templar One Bar Alternate Sets
The Deadly Strike set can still be used on this build for a strong buff to Templar’s Puncturing Sweep. Another easily crafted option is going to be the Order’s Wrath set. Either of these can be used to replace Aetheric Lancer as some players may not like the proc effect.
Rather than use a Mythic you can instead use a full Monster Set like Iceheart which has a powerful damage shield and even more Critical Chance.
Slimecraw can be used for even more Critical Chance and will be preferable for Overland content where enemies have lower armor requiring less penetration overall.

Best Magicka Templar One Bar Race
I recommend the High Elf race for this solo Magicka Templar build thanks to their great sustain and damage reduction passives, along with Max Magicka and Weapon and Spell Damage. Khajiit is another favorite race for this build because of their higher Critical Damage and Healing. For more details on all ESO Races and passive bonuses be sure to check out our Full ESO Race Guide.
Best Magicka Templar One Bar Mundus Stone
The best Mundus Stone for this Magicka Templar One Bar build is the Thief Mundus, as this increases your Critical Chance, letting all of your skills potentially do more damage and healing. This is even more important on classes like the Templar because your main spammable DPS skill, Puncturing Sweep, heals for more, when you deal more damage, increasing your survivability as well!

Increases the Critical Strike rating by 1333
With 7 Divines armor pieces
Increases the Critical Strike rating by 2167
If soloing purely instanced content like Dungeons and trials then swap to the Lover Mundus to make sure you have enough penetration to deal with enemies higher armor values.

The Lover
Increases Physical and Spell Penetration by 2744
With 7 Divines armor pieces
Increases Physical and Spell Penetration by 4489
Best Magicka Templar One Bar Food/Drink
The best Food/Drink option for a Magicka Templar One Bar Build is Clockwork Citrus Filet. This buff increases your Max Magicka, important for dealing more damage, Magicka Recovery for better sustain, Max Health for better survival and even Health Recovery for better recovery still.
A cheaper option if you don’t want to spend as much Gold would be to use Witchmother’s Potent Brew instead as this has all of the same bonuses minus the extra Health Recovery, but often for much cheaper.

Clockwork Citrus Filet
Increase Max Health by 3326, Health Recovery by 406, Max Magicka by 3080 and Magicka Recovery by 338 for 2 hours.
Ingredients: Red Meat, Lemon, Frost Mirriam, Perfect Roe

Witchmother’s potent brew
Increase Max Magicka by 2856, Max Health by 3094, and Magicka Recovery by 315 for 2 hours.
These effects are scaled based on your level.
Ingredients: Nightshade, Bervez Juice, Rice, Small Game
Best One Bar Magicka Templar Potions
Thanks to using the Oakensoul Ring on this build, we have all of the most important buffs taken care of, allowing for flexibility with potions. If you want the absolute best potions for challenging content that would Tri Stat Potions, which restore Health, Magicka and Stamina while also increasing your Magicka Recovery, Stamina Recovery and Health Recovery. These are by far the best as they give you a flood of resources, but they can be expensive.
For a cheaper option for easy content, simply use basic Magicka potions and you will be fine.

Pure Templar Skills – One Bar Set Up
This build can be run as a Pure Templar build to take advantage of class mastery or a subclassing build. Both options are presented below.

- Elemental Drain
- Solar Barrage
- Radiant Ward or Radiant Glory
- Puncturing Sweep
- Channeled Focus
- ULT: Shooting Star
Magicka Templar Class Mastery
Players that reach level 50 in ESO while also fully reaching Rank 50 for their class skill lines and not subclassing can use 2 Class Mastery passives to improve their build. For the Templar class I recommend Bright Harbinger for the increased Weapon and Spell damage applied to Illuminate and Judgment’s Brand which increases the damage of your Templar abilities by 1400 after dealing damage with Burning Light.

Bright Harbinger
Light’s banner instills hope. You are its bearer.
Effect
Upgrades rank 2 of Illuminate to also grant Bright Harbinger for the duration, which grants 300 Weapon and Spell Damage to allies and doubles for you.

Judgment’s Brand
Judgement follows in the wake of your radiance.
Effect
When rank 2 of Burning Light deals damage, your Templar abilities gain 1400 damage done for 3.1 seconds. This bonus is halved against players.
