Our main 5 piece set on this build is Spell Power Cure. This set provides the powerful Major Courage buff which greatly boosts your group’s Weapon Damage and Spell Damage, boosting overall DPS.
Powerful Assault is a simple medium armor option for buffing your group’s damage. This set can also be easily proced by using Echoing Vigor which is a useful healing skill.
We have the option of running a 1-piece Monster Set on this build such as the Chokethorn monster set for increased Magicka Recovery.
Finally, as a One Bar Build, The Oakensoul Ring mythic item provides all the stats including many important Major and Minor buffs for our character, making them more effective while only requiring the use of one skill bar.

One Bar Sorcerer Healer Alternative Sets
Another easy to obtain Healer set which is useful for this build is the Sanctuary Set, found in the Banished Cells dungeon, which is part of the base game. This set gives you a flat buff to your overall healing which is especially useful in early levels when you may have less Champion Points.
Another useful set you should target as a healer is The Worm’s Raiment. Even though these seems like a “noob” set, it’s still used by tanks and healers in high end trials. The five piece bonus gives 145 magicka recovery to your entire group group. And unlike Sanctuary, the range is 28 meters! Another bonus is the 2 and 4 piece bonuses give Magicka Recovery filling you up with resources.

One Bar Sorcerer Healer Attributes
In ESO, having Magicka is the most important resource for a healer build. This is because most healing abilities in the game cost Magicka to cast, so having more means you will not run out of resources as easily. While some Stamina-based healing skills exist (we use one on this build), these are more niche.
I recommend placing all 64 attribute points into Magicka for this healer build. Your goal should be to hit around 30,000 Magicka if possible. Your Race choice as well as Food/Drink options and equipment traits and glyphs all effect this as well
64 Magicka
0 Health
0 Stamina
One Bar Sorcerer Healer Race
The Breton Race is ideal for healers in The Elder Scrolls Online, due to their passives which focus on improved Spellcasting. As a Breton, you receive reduced Magicka cost for all abilties which is a huge benefit. You also get increased Max Magicka AND Magicka Recovery, making this race the ultimate in terms of sustaining your important healing skills for you and your group.
Pick a race that compliments your build and your end goal with the character. If you intend to swap back and forth between healing, damage, and tanking then your racial selection could change.
Other race considerations for healing:
- Argonian: adds an impressive mix of stats including Health, Stamina, and Magicka, Healing Done, and resources resourcse when you drink a potion. This would be my second favorite healing option.
- Khajiit: adds bonus Health, Magicka, and Stamina, plus all 3 recoveries which helps sustain. You also get bonus Critical Healing which can be nice if you like seeing BIG healing numbers on the screen.
- High Elf: this race provides a solid bonus to Max Magicka and some sustain but is more damage focused.
- Dark Elf: Adds magicka and stamina, fire resist and weapon and spell damage, good if you like to try multiple roles with one character.
For more details on all ESO Races and passive bonuses be sure to check out our Full ESO Race Guide.
One Bar Sorcerer Healer Mundus Stone
The best Mundus Stone for a Healer is the Atronach Mundus Stone due to the increase in Magicka regeneration. This Mundus option will let you cast more heals and cast them more consistently without running out of resources which is incredibly important when playing as a Healer in ESO.
One Bar Sorcerer Healer Food and Drink Buff
The recommended food option for this build is Clockwork Citrus Filet as this provides a great set of bonuses including Max Health, Max Magicka, Health Recovery and Magicka Recovery.
A more cost efficient option if you would like to save on some gold would is Witchmother’s Potent Brew. This Drink Buff includes our most important stats including Max Health, Max Magicka and Magicka Recovery but doesn’t have the added survival of Health Recovery which Clockwork Citrus Filet has.

Clockwork Citrus Filet
Increase Max Health by 3326, Health Recovery by 406, Max Magicka by 3080 and Magicka Recovery by 338 for 2 hours.
Ingredients: Red Meat, Lemon, Frost Mirriam, Perfect Roe

Witchmother’s potent brew
Increase Max Magicka by 2856, Max Health by 3094, and Magicka Recovery by 315 for 2 hours.
These effects are scaled based on your level.
Ingredients: Nightshade, Bervez Juice, Rice, Small Game
One Bar Sorcerer Healer Potions
The best potions are the “Tri-Potions” which restores health, magicka, and stamina. Moreover, this potion buffs your resource sustain to each stat pool helping your sustain. Make sure to unlock and max out the Alchemy skill Medicinal Use. This passive increases the duration of your potions effects. Essentially, the duration last 47.5 seconds with a cooldown of 45 seconds. Therefore, this passive becomes critical to obtain to keep higher uptime on buffs.
Alternately, you could use basic Magicka potions for a cheaper option that should still perform well for most types of content in the game.

- Summon Twilight Matriarch
- Vibrant Shroud
- Radiating Regeneration or Illustrious Healing
- Energy Orb or Combat Prayer
- Echoing Vigor
- ULT: Aggressive Horn or Greater Storm Atronach
One Bar Sorcerer Healer Skills Explanation
- Summon Twilight Matriarch: your primary emergency burst heal, this skill can do massive healing for up to 2 targets and itself. Keep in mind that the Twilight can die, though rarely, so keep an eye on it’s health bar so you don’t lose access to this heal in an emergency.
- Vibrant Shroud: this skill gives you a nice group heal, plus buffs your party with Minor Vitality increasing their healing received and damage shield strength. This skill also unlocks the Blood Magic passive which boosts your overall stats.
- Radiating Regeneration: this is heal over time effect for multiple group members at once. Use this after a fight to heal up your team as you run to the next encounter.
- Illustrious Healing: AOE Heal for active combat situations where you must keep everyone’s health up.
- Energy Orb: slow moving orb ability that heals while also restoring Magicka and Stamina. Great for group resource sustain.
- Combat Prayer: use this if you don’t need as much resource sustain and instead want to improve group DPS with Minor Berserk.
- Echoing Vigor: this stamina-based heal also procs our Powerful Assault set. Only cast every 15 seconds to rebuff the Powerful Assault set so you are never too low on Stamina.
- ULT: Aggressive War Horn: boost max Health, max Stamina and max Magicka, and grants Major Force for 20% more critical damage for 10 seconds, helping your group do more damage in most situations. Remember that using your ultimate provides extra resources through the Battle Roar passive!
- ULT: Greater Storm Atronach: when you want your party to focus on pure damage for a short time try using the Greater Storm Atronach ultimate. This provides access to the powerful Major Berserk buff via a synergy for 10 seconds, greatly boosting group DPS.
One Bar Sorcerer Healer Rotation
Two bars are not necessary on this build, making for a much simpler playstyle!
Buffs and Debuffs
Start combat by casting Energy Orb or Combat Prayer to provide your group with buffs. Immediately cast Echoing Vigor as well to proc the bonus from Powerful Assault and Vibrant Shroud to add even more healing. This should proc Spell Power Cure immediately.
Next cast your Restoration Staff heal over time effects including Radiating Regeneration or Illustrious Healing. These will help to proc your Spell Power Cure set as well, so make sure to keep them active.
Use your Summon Twilight Matriarch burst heal for emergencies or when any party member dips below 50% health.
Remember to light attack inbetween abilities for increased ultimate regeneration as well as to proc your Absorb Magicka enchant on your staff. Heavy attacks can be used for Magicka sustain if your Magicka pool gets below 30%. Use your Ultimate when ready.

ESO Sorcerer Healer Class Mastery
Players that reach level 50 in ESO while also fully reaching Rank 50 for their class skill lines and not subclassing can use 2 Class Mastery passives to improve their build. For the Sorcerer Healer build I recommend Calculated Defense which grants you a damage shield and if the shield does not break, you and nearby group members gain 6% Weapon and Spell Damage, along with Sphere of Influence which grants an additional shield and 225 Health, Magicka and Stamina Recovery.

Calculated Defense
Success is a certainty when nothing is left to chance.
Effect
While beginning to use a Sorcerer ability or an ability with a cast time, you gain a damage shield for 0.5 seconds that can absorb 8000 damage. This effect is based off your Max Health. If the shield does not break, you and nearby group members gain 6% Weapon and Spell Damage for 20 seconds.

Sphere of Influence
Magicka extends your reach, a benefit to those who fight beside you.
Effect
Casting a damage shield on yourself or an ally grants an additional shield that absorbs up to 4000 damage for 4 seconds and 225 Health, Magicka, and Stamina Recovery for 12 seconds. The shield scales off the higher of your Max Health or Max Magicka, and is capped at 25% of the target’s Max Health.
