The FATE LORD Build is a POWERFUL Stamina Arcanist DPS option, capable of massive DPS numbers, even without Trials gear! Plus, the rotation is simple to learn, making this build a great option for players at all skill levels looking to boost their damage.
Arcanist Class Overview
The Arcanist Class is an extremely powerful way to play in The Elder Scrolls Online. Arcanists have many similarities with other classes in ESO such as dedicated Class Skill lines for DPS, for Healing, and for Tanking. Arcanists are also extremely unique in that they make use of a powerful new game mechanic called Crux. For a more detailed guide be sure to review our ESO Arcanist Class Guide located here.
Primary Sets
First, the Deadly Strike set is one of the strongest Arcanist sets you can use in the game if you intend to make use of the Arcanist’s channeled Beam attack as this set buffs all channels and DOTs by 15 percent!
The second set, Pillar Of Nirn is an amazing proc set that offers very high damage with an easy to maintain proc condition and fairly long duration. For this particular build, we will be back-barring a Pillar Of Nirn weapon to proc the set on back bar only.
The Velothi Ur-Mage’s Amulet is the best new Mythic Item for the Arcanist Class as it boosts your damage through the roof while lowering light attack damage – we don’t do many light attacks on this build because Fatecarver is such a long, channeled skill.
A one-piece Monster Set is perfect for adding some extra stats to this build. A great option is Slimecraw for the additional Critical Chance.
Finally, our front-bar weapons will be open for another powerful option, Perfected Spectral Cloak. This set buffs the Blade Cloak skill and its morphs, giving you bonus protection and damage done.

Skills Discussion & Rotation
Start/Buffs
Begin by casting Inspired Scholarship, then bar swap, cast Deadly Cloak and lay down Barbed Trap.
Static Rotation
Starting on the Backbar: Stampede, Carve (2x at the beginning), Fulminating Rune, Barswap
Frontbar: Cephaliarc’s Flail x2, Fatecarver, Deadly Cloak, Barbed Trap, Barswap.
Cast Inspired Scholarship as it fades and use Languid Eye when ready. Use Flawless Dawnbreaker if the fight is about to end before you have enough Ultimate for Languid Eye.
Dynamic Rotation
The Dynamic Rotation is essentially the same, you just wait longer to re-cast each ability, refreshing it only as it fades. This will result in a few extra Fatecarvers by the end and slightly more damage.
