This guide has been updated for The Elder Scrolls Online Update 50.
Best One Bar Stamina Necro Sets
Our main 5-piece is Tide-Born Wildstalker, which buffs all of our direct damage versus monsters by an amazing 12 percent! This will buff all of our primary damage dealers on this build, making it a very impactful set to run!
Order’s Wrath is also a nice solo set as it applies extra Critical Chance AND Critical Damage and Healing, which all work very well on the Necromancer class.
The Oakensoul Ring will be an incredibly important part of running this build more effectively as it provides many of the buffs we would miss otherwise when limited to just one skill bar, including our Major buffs for Damage, Critical Chance, and Armor.
Finally, with one piece left over I recommend a one-piece Monster set such as Slimecraw for the extra Critical Chance.

Stamina Necromancer One Bar Race
My favorite Race for this build is Khajiit, thanks to their bonus stats and especially bonus critical damage and healing. Other great choices for this build include Orc for more damage and speed as well as Nord for better resistances. For more details on all ESO Races and passive bonuses be sure to check out our Full ESO Race Guide.
Stamina Necromancer One Bar Mundus Stone
The best Mundus Stone for the Solo Stamina Necromancer is the Thief Mundus Stone which helps to amplify our Critical Chance even further, helping to increase our overeall DPS and healing!

Increases the Critical Strike rating by 1333

Increases the Critical Strike rating by 2167
Stamina Necromancer One Bar Food/Drink Buff
The best food or drink buff for the Solo Stamina Necromancer is Artaeum Takeaway Broth, which boosts all of our most important stats including Max Stamina for increased damage, Stamina Recovery for sustain, and Max Health and Health Recovery for better survival in solo content.
If you wish to save some gold, then Dubious Camoran Throne is nearly as good of an option, just without the Health Recovery bonus.

Artaeum Takeaway Broth
Increase Max Health by 3326 and Health Recovery by 406 and Max Stamina by 3080 and Stamina Recovery by 338 for 2 hours.
These effects are scaled based on your level.

Dubious Camoran Throne
Increase Stamina Recovery by 315, Max Stamina by 2856 and Max Health by 3094 for 2 hours.
These effects are scaled based on your level.
A dessert cocktail of jagga, rotmeth, and sweetbread puree. Definitely Green Pact compliant.
Stamina Necromancer One Bar Potions
Basic Stamina Potions are fine for a Solo One Bar Stamina Build as we get our most important buffs from the Oakensoul Ring Mythic. However, for more challenging content, Tri Stat Potions are the best option because these also restore Magicka and Health, helping sustain your Magic skills or help with survival.

Stamina Necromancer One Bar Subclassing Skill Lines
This One Bar Build uses Subclassing for maximum effectiveness. The recommended skill lines for ESO Subclassing are listed below in order of importantce.
- Necromancer Grave Lord – our main DPS skill line with massive AOE Damage potential, debuffs and a great ultimate.
- Nightblade Assassination – our support DPS skill line which can massively increase Critical Chance, Critical Damage and sustain, mostly via passives.
- Sorcerer Storm Calling – our healing and support skill line, especially useful for skills like Critical Surge.

- Brawler
- Blighted Blastbones
- Unnerving Boneyard
- Venom Skull or Ruinous Scythe
- Spirit Guardian
- ULT: Glacial Colossus
Stamina Necromancer One Bar Skills Explanation
- Brawler: use this for increased survival in solo dungeons and solo arenas as this creates a damage shield which increases in strength the more enemies you hit.
- Blighted Blastbones: this is a DPS semi-spammable ability. Cast it once and it takes about 3 seconds to explode, meaning you can cast other skills in between. Also have this active because the damage potential is huge!
- Unnerving Boneyard: incredibly good solo debuff skill which reduces enemy armor via the Major Breach effect and well as increases damage taken by enemies thanks to Minor Vulnerability.
- Surprise Attack: your best option for single target DPS. Use this for consistent damage while waiting for Blight Blastbones to explode.
- Venom Skull: only use this DPS skill when leveling or if not subclassing as it is just basic. Surprise Attack will give better damage and MUCH better passives via the Asssassination Skill Line.
- Ruinous Scythe: the lowest DPS option but still very strong for survival as this gives you an increasingly large heal when you hit more than one target. Also sets targets off-balance.
- Critical Surge: this is the best passive healing skill in the game, healing you up to once every second as long as you are doing critical damage (which you should be). Has a nice long duration compared to Spirit Guardian and better passives via Storm Calling, so this our preferred healing option.
- Spirit Guardian: our basic Necromancer Class heal over time skill which also reduces your incoming damage, making it a solid option for a One Bar Solo Build.
- ULT: Glacial Colossus: our best AOE Damage ultimate which does 3 big smashes of damage, stuns enemies, and also debuffs them with Major Vulnerability, increasing their damage taken!
Stamina Necromancer One Bar Rotation
Start by buffing your self with Critical Surge for passive healing. Next, debuff enemies in the area with Unnverving Boneyard, then cast Blighted Blastbones on a target to set an explosion. Use Brawler or Surprise Attack to deal more damage as you wait 3 seconds for your Blastbones to pop. Repeat: Blastbones -> 2 abilities, Blastbones -> 2 abilities, etc.
Use your Ultimate when ready or reserve it for a big group of enemies where it will be the most effective.

Stamina Necromancer Class Mastery
Players that reach level 50 in ESO while also fully reaching Rank 50 for their class skill lines and not subclassing can use 2 Class Mastery passives to improve their build. For the Necromancer class I recommend Nothing Wasted for the increased Max Health and Weapon and Spell Damage along with Cycle Unending for up to 25% bonus damage versus monsters (or 10% versus players).

Nothing Wasted
As an abattoir of death, no remnants of life are wasted.
Effect
Upgrades rank 2 of Corpse Consumption to also grant you a stack of Nothing Wasted for 15 seconds, which increases your Max Health by 2% and Weapon and Spell Damage by 2% per stack, up to 10 times. Stacks decay three at a time instead of all at once.

Cycle Unending
The cycle of life and death continues: you will live, others will die.
Effect
Upgrades rank 2 of Reusable Parts to grant Cycle Unending for 25 seconds, increasing the potency of your damage done by 1% for every 1% Health you have more than your target. The damage bonus caps at 25%, or 10% against players.
Companions
If you like playing Solo, this build can benefit greatly from using Companions! This Solo build will benefit the most from the additional healing and defensive options a tank-focused Companion can offer, so if you are going to use a Companion I would suggest a full tank build for them. I recommend Bastian Hallix for Companion on this build with the setup below. More information on Companions Builds and Skills can be found in our detailed Companion Guides section.
Recommended Gear
- All Heavy Armor – Mixed Vigorous and Quickened Traits
- One Handed Weapon and Shield
Recommended Skills
Additional Skills
The skills below may also be helpful in other situations such as trash pulls.

The Guardian Drake is a strong option for Bastian Hallix as a Tank. Bastian is one of the new Companions available to ESO players starting in the Blackwood Chapter. The theme of this build is focused around Self-Healing and Survival, allowing Bastian to keep himself alive against many tough opponents and even bosses with very little help from others.
Champion Points
Below you will find the recommended Active and Passive Champion Point Stars for this build, broken down into 300, 600, 900, and 1200 CP ranges.
