The ARCANE ARCHER Build combines the Daedric Summoning skills of the Sorcerer Class, letting your pets tank and absorb damage for you while you fire off Bow Skills from a distance!
Primary Sets
Since we are letting our Clannfear pet tank for us we are able to run 3 full offensive sets, maximizing our damage potential on this solo build.
First, Deadly Strike buffs the majority of our damaging abilities by a whopping 20%. This is actually a strong set for bow builds as so many bow abilities are actually damage over time focused.
We combine this with Kvatch Gladiator, which also adds nearly 1500 weapon damage to all of our offensive abilities when an enemies drops into execute range.
Finally, Maw Of The Infernal does great damage while also adding to the summoned pet theme of this build.

(5 items) When you deal Critical Damage, you increase your Weapon and Spell Damage by 450 for 10 seconds. While this effect is active your Critical Strikes heal you for 100 Health. This effect can occur once every 15 seconds and the heal scales off the higher of your Maximum Magicka or Stamina.

The Daedroth can only be summoned once every 15 seconds.
Alternate Sets
For alternatives, anything else that focuses on damage will do nicely, including Spriggan’s Thorns or New Moon Acolyte.

Consumables, Race, Mundus
Race
I prefer Redguard for this build, due to the cost reduction of weapon abilities (reduces all bow skill costs) and the Adrenaline Rush passive which helps with sustain. Still, other stamina-based races should also work well, including Orc, Dark Elf, Wood Elf and Khajiit. For more details on all ESO Races and passive bonuses be sure to check out our Full ESO Race Guide.

Companions
If you like playing Solo, this build can benefit greatly from using Companions! This Solo build will benefit the most from the additional healing and defensive options a tank focused Companion can offer, so if you are going to use a Companion I would suggest a full tank build for them. I recommend Bastian Hallix for Companion on this build with the set up below. More information on Companions Builds and Skills can be found in our detailed Companion Guides section.
Recommended Gear
- All Heavy Armor – Mixed Vigorous and Quickened Traits
- One Handed Weapon and Shield
Recommended Skills
1. Provoke
3. Kindle
4. On Guard
6 ULT. Unleashed Rage
Additional Skills
The skills below may also be helpful in other situations such as trash pulls.
Full Companion Build: GUARDIAN DRAKE
The Guardian Drake is a strong option for Bastian Hallix as a Tank. Bastian is one of the new Companions available to ESO players starting in the Blackwood Chapter. The theme of this build is focused around Self-Healing and Survival, allowing Bastian to keep himself alive against many tough opponents and even bosses with very little help from others.
