Templar Class Overview
The Templar Class is an extremely powerful way to play in The Elder Scrolls Online. Templars have powerful Class Skill lines great for DPS, Healing, Tanking, and playing Solo. Templars are a great choice for any build due to their many great damage and defensive options.
For a more detailed guide, be sure to review our ESO Templar Class Guide located here.
Best One Bar Sets
Our main damage set on this build is the Deadly Strike set. This buffs our main spammable ability, Biting Jabs, by an amazing 15 percent since it counts as a channeled ability.
Combined with this we are using Tide-Born Wildstalker, a powerful crafted set which buffs Direct Damage effects just like Biting Jabs.
Next, the Oakensoul Ring is the best Mythic you can use for one bar builds, giving you a ton of powerful buffs, vastly simplifying build while still making it powerful enough to attempt difficult content.
And to make the one remaining body piece, a Slimecraw helmet or shoulder piece will be ideal thanks to the bonus Critical Chance.

Stamina Templar Best Attributes
The best attribute for a Stamina Templar is Stamina because it allows you to cast more Stamina abilities before running out of resources. Additionally, increased stamina can increase the size of a damage and healing spells. It’s best to pick one attribute pool and “stack” for optimal damage and resource sustain. Therefore, I recommend 64 stamina, 0 health, and 0 magicka.
- 0 Magicka
- 0 Health
- 64 Stamina
One Bar Stamina Templar Race
For the most damage possible on this build, go with Orc, Dark Elf or Khajiit. For an easier time sustaining your abilities, Redguard and Wood Elf will be the best option. For more details on all ESO Races and passive bonuses be sure to check out our Full ESO Race Guide.
One Bar Stamina Templar Mundus Stone
The Thief Mundus will be the best for this Solo Stamina Templar build due to its massive increase for Critical Chance. This will help you deal more damage and even heal for more due to this stat affecting both damage and healing. Make sure to use as many Divines armor pieces as possible to maximize this effect.

Increases the Critical Strike rating by 1333
With 7 Divines armor pieces
Increases the Critical Strike rating by 2167
One Bar Stamina Templar Food/Drink Buff
Lava Foot Soup-And-Saltice is the best food/drink option for the One Bar Stamina Templar because it provides a lot of Max Stamina as well as Stamina Recovery which is incredibly important for sustaining our main damage ability, Biting Jabs.

Lava Foot Soup-and-saltrice
Increase Max Stamina by 4936 and Stamina Recovery by 493 for 2 hours. These effects are scaled based on your level.
One Bar Stamina Templar Potions
The best potions for this build are Tri-Stat Recovery potions as these recovery Max Health, Max Stamina and Max Magicka all at the same time. These are the absolute best overall option because they help increase your sustain and survival. That said, with the Oakensoul Ring, we have all major and minor buffs covered on this build, so you can also use basic Stamina Potions if you’d like to save some gold.

Subclassing Skill Lines
While the One Bar Stamina Templar can be played as a Pure Templar build, the build can also be improved by using Subclassing in The Elder Scrolls Online. The recommended subclassing skill lines for the Solo Stamina Templar are:
One Bar Pure Templar Skills
Main Weapon: DUAL WIELD – Click on a Skill Name to learn more
- Radiant Ward
- Razor Caltrops
- Ritual Of Retribution or Repentance
- Biting Jabs
- Restoring Focus

- Radiant Ward
- Unnerving Boneyard
- Ritual Of Retribution or Repentance
- Biting Jabs
- Restoring Focus
- ULT: Glacial Colossus
One Bar Stamina Templar Skills Explanation
- Radiant Ward – this is one of the best damage shield skills in the game so it’s great for trying to play solo and will help with survivial.
- Razor Caltrops – use this Assault ability while solo to debuff enemy armor with Major Breach.
- Unnerving Boneyard – use this Necromancer skill with Subclassing to debuff enemies with Major Breach and also gain access to powerful Necro passives such as increased Critical Chance and Offensive Penetration.
- Ritual Of Retribution – great AOE damage skill which deals a ton of damage to enemies in a large area.
- Repentance – great healing and sustain skill which uses corpses on the ground to restore Stamina and Health. Use this skill when you need greater survival facing off against multiple enemies.
- Biting Jabs – your main spammable DPS ability.
- Restoring Focus – places a rune on the ground which heals you for a greater amount of Health. Also restores stamina even while outside of the rune, so it’s great for sustain.
- ULT: Dawnbreaker Of Smiting – use this for a low-cost Ultimate which deals a lot of direct damage and damage over time while also stunning enemies. Great for crowd control in difficult situations.
- ULT: Glacial Colossus – powerful Necromancer ultimate which can be used when subclassing to debuff enemies wtih Major Vulnerability, increasing their damage taken.
One Bar Stamina Templar Rotation
The rotation on this build is incredibly easy! Simply maintain your AOE skills including Razor Caltrops or Boneyard, plus Ritual of Retribution if using. Cast Restoring Focus and stand within the rune for increased self-healing, then simply use Biting Jabs until enemies die – rinse and repeat.
Make use of Radiant Ward to shield and Repentance to drain corpses for Stamina and Health as needed. Cast your Ultimate when ready.

Stamina Templar Class Mastery
Players that reach level 50 in ESO while also fully reaching Rank 50 for their class skill lines and not subclassing can use 2 Class Mastery passives to improve their build. For the Templar class I recommend Bright Harbinger for the increased Weapon and Spell damage applied to Illuminate and Judgment’s Brand which increases the damage of your Templar abilities by 1400 after dealing damage with Burning Light.

Bright Harbinger
Light’s banner instills hope. You are its bearer.
Effect
Upgrades rank 2 of Illuminate to also grant Bright Harbinger for the duration, which grants 300 Weapon and Spell Damage to allies and doubles for you.

Judgment’s Brand
Judgement follows in the wake of your radiance.
Effect
When rank 2 of Burning Light deals damage, your Templar abilities gain 1400 damage done for 3.1 seconds. This bonus is halved against players.
