Category: Best ESO Builds, Best Warden Builds, Solo Builds, Best Subclassing Builds
The BEAST MASTER Build is a Powerful Stamina Warden Build for The Elder Scrolls Online that is focused on summoned Pets and Animal Companions! Bring TWO Bears to the battlefield, plus swarming insects and a Gryphon! Now with subclassing, this build is stronger than ever!
Subclassing Stamina Warden Sets
Our first set is Tide-Born Wildstalker, which amplifies our direct damage versus monsters. This is such a huge bonus on a Warden Build, due to our heavy hitting Deep Fissure skill, plus other skills we will use on this build thanks to subclassing. This makes a big difference in overall DPS!
The Gryphon’s Reprisal Set provides a lot of additional Critical Chance, Penetration and bonus damage over time, plus it fits the theme of this build perfectly, summoning a screaming Griffon to deal bleed damage to nearby enemies. We can also backbar this set to make room for a full monster set and a mythic!
Speaking of which, Selene is one of the hardest-hitting Monster Sets in the game, while also fitting into our animal-themed build. This set summons a Spirit Bear to shred your enemies, dealing big damage, plus it looks amazing!
We will have just enough room on this build to run a Heavy chest armor piece for extra protection. The perfect option for this is Armor Of The Trainee for its one piece Max Health bonus.
Finally, this build also has room to run a Mythic of your choice. I have decided to use the Monomyth Reforged Mythic to optimize this build’s Critical Damage. Other options will be listed below.

Tide-Born Wildstalker
LVL 50 – CP 160
SET BONUS
(2 items) Adds 129 Weapon and Spell Damage

(3 items) Adds 1487 Offensive Penetration
(4 items) Adds 657 Critical Chance
(5 items) When you deal Critical Damage, you or an ally can activate Gryphon’s Reprisal on the enemy for 8 seconds, causing a small gryphon to fly by and deal 14137 Bleed Damage over 10 seconds to enemies within 5 meters. This synergy can be applied once every 20 seconds and scales off the higher of your Weapon or Spell Damage.

Selene
LVL 50 – CP 160
SET BONUS
(1 item) Adds 129 Weapon and Spell Damage
(2 items) When you deal Martial melee damage, you have a 15% chance to call on a primal spirit that mauls the closest enemy in front of you after 1.3 seconds for 1890 Physical Damage. This effect can occur once every 4 seconds.

Armor Of The Trainee
LVL 50 – CP 160
SET BONUS

In Mundus, conflict and disparity are what bring change, and change is the most sacred of the Eleven Forces. Change is the force without focus or origin.
Monomyth Reforged Lead Locations
The Monomyth Reforged Mythic is a powerful option for builds in ESO! Check out our full Monomyth Reforged Guide for ALL Lead Locations!

Subclassing Stamina Warden Alternate Sets
The Gryphon’s Reprisal set on this build can be replaced with other damage-focused sets including Briarheart. This functions similar to Gryphon’s Reprisal because you can proc the Briarheart set on the backbar and still have enough gear slots to run a Monster Set and Mythic.
Speaking of Mythics, other great options include The Ring Of The Pale Order if you would like more passive healing or the Velothi Ur-Mage’s Amulet for increased damage.

Briarheart
LVL 50 – CP 160
SET BONUS
(2 items) Adds 657 Critical Chance
(3 items) Adds 1096 Maximum Stamina
(4 items) Adds 657 Critical Chance
(5 items) When you deal Critical Damage, you increase your Weapon and Spell Damage by 450 for 10 seconds. While this effect is active your Critical Strikes heal you for 100 Health. This effect can occur once every 15 seconds and the heal scales off the higher of your Maximum Magicka or Stamina.

Velothi Ur-Mages Amulet
LVL 50 – CP 160
SET BONUS
(1 item) Adds 1650 Offensive Penetration, Increase your damage done to monsters by 15%, gain Minor Force at all times, increasing your Critical Damage done by 10%, and reduce your Light and Heavy Attack damage by 99%.
Among the followers of Veloth were counted mages and spellsmiths of unparalleled skill. Their vision of overwhelming arcane might is woven, lattice after lattice, into this talisman.

Ring of The Pale Order
LVL 50 – CP 160
SET BONUS
(1 item) Restore 20% of the damage you deal as Health. This value is decreased by 4% per ally you are grouped with. You cannot be healed by anyone but yourself, your pets, or your Companions.
Bleak heraldry covers the surface of this knightly signet. Those who place it on their finger feel a cold rush of power … and a deep, nagging paranoia.

Subclassing Stamina Warden Attributes
The best attribute for a Stamina Warden Subclassing Build is Stamina because it increase the effectiveness of our skills. Additionally, increased stamina can increase the size of a damage and healing spells. It’s best to pick one attribute pool and “stack” for optimal damage and resource sustain. Therefore, I recommend 64 stamina, 0 health, and 0 magicka.
0 Magicka
0 Health
64 Stamina
Subclassing Stamina Warden Race
Orc or Dark Elf will be ideal for more damage, while Nord is a favorite option for the extra defense and ultimate generation, which is great for ESO Solo Builds. The most common choice for meta end game is Dark Elf because of the spell and weapon damage and two resource pools.
For more details on all ESO Races and passive bonuses be sure to check out our Full ESO Race Guide.
Subclassing Stamina Warden Mundus
The best Mundus Stone for the Solo Stamina Warden build is the Thief Mundus. This stone improves our Critical Chance by a large amount, which combines perfectly with our already high Critical Damage stat.

Increases the Critical Strike rating by 1333
With 7 Divines armor pieces
Increases the Critical Strike rating by 2167
Subclassing Stamina Warden Food & Drink
The best food option for the Subclassing Stamina Warden Solo Build is Artaeum Takeaway Broth. This food combines Max Health, Max Stamina, Health Recovery and Stamina Recovery into one powerful combination of stats. This is especially helpful because we need Stamina and Stamina Recovery to cast our abilities and deal more damage, while the Health and Health recovery are best for survival.

Artaeum Takeaway Broth
Increase Max Health by 3326 and Health Recovery by 406 and Max Stamina by 3080 and Stamina Recovery by 338 for 2 hours.
These effects are scaled based on your level.
Subclassing Stamina Warden Potions
Basic Stamina potions are fne for this build, though Tri-Stat Restoration potions will be helpful for more challenging content.

Subclassing Stamina Warden Skill Explanations
Main Weapon Skills:
- Killer’s Blade – this is a powerful execute skill, dealing bonus damage to enemies that are low health.
- Deep Fissure – our main Armor Debuff, reducing enemy armor by nearly 10,000.
- Growing Swarm – this increases damage taken by enemies due to the Minor Vulernability debuff.
- Wreckling Blow or Smash – this will be your main spammable DPS skill. Wrecking Blow does more damage versus single targets while Smash is better for fighting multiple targets
- Brawler – a powerful Damage Shield that increases in size when you hit multiple enemies
- ULT: Wild Guardian or Soul Harvest – the Wild Guardian bear pet ultimate is recommended for damage and the build’s theme, though other options like Soul Harvest can be used.
Backup Weapon: BOW – Click on a Skill Name to learn more
- Endless Hail – this skill does AOE damage over time and is also useful for procing our backbar weapon glyph
- Barbed Trap – a powerful single target DOT that also gives us the Minor Force buff
- Merciless Resolve – use this for big burst damage and a burst heal
- Restoring Focus – provides Armor, healing and Stamina sustain
- Bull Netch – provides Major Brutality and Sorcery, plus more Stamina Sustain
- ULT: Wild Guardian or Flawless Dawnbreaker – Wild Guardian must be on both skill bars to keep the pet alive. If not using the Bear Pet, use Flawless Dawnbreaker for more damage.
Subclassing Stamina Warden Rotation
Buff with Bull Netch and Restoring Focus. Then use Endless Hail -> Barbed Trap -> Merciless Resolve (if ready) -> Bar Swap
On the Front Bar cast -> Deep Fissure -> Growing Swarm -> Wrecking Blow/Smash x4 -> Deep Fissure -> Bar Swap
Notes
Make sure to light attack between each ability to builds stacks of Merciless Resolve. Use Brawler as needed for Damage Shields, and use Wild Guardian at 75 Ultimate.

If you like playing Solo, this build can benefit greatly from using Companions! This Solo build will benefit the most from the additional healing and defensive options a tank-focused Companion can offer, so if you are going to use a Companion I would suggest a full tank build for them. I recommend Bastian Hallix for Companion on this build with the setup below. More information on Companions Builds and Skills can be found in our detailed Companion Guides section.

The skills below may also be helpful in other situations such as trash pulls.

Featured: GUARDIAN DRAKE
The Guardian Drake is a strong option for Bastian Hallix as a Tank. Bastian is one of the new Companions available to ESO players starting in the Blackwood Chapter. The theme of this build is focused around Self-Healing and Survival, allowing Bastian to keep himself alive against many tough opponents and even bosses with very little help from others.
