Best Sciel Build Guide for Expedition 33
Learn how to use the ultimate support character in Expedition 33 with the Support Sciel Build! Our guide on Sciel will show you the best recommendations for weapons, luminas, skills and combos. Having Sciel as the only active party member can enhance combat effectiveness by allowing you to focus on her health and maximize her critical hit potential. Effects like foretell consumed become even more valuable during tightly scripted encounters. We hope you enjoy this build on your journey to defeat the Paintress.
Support Sciel is the perfect engine for your team, providing them with extra turns, more AP and extra damage. Her rotation shines in the mid game, where tools like energising parry and breaking counter help her keep enemies under control and even delay target’s turn during dangerous sequences. She also enables explosive setups where a targeted ally deals significantly more damage than usual. Paired with Lune, Maelle and Verso, you can start seeing game breaking numbers very quickly. To give Sciel the best odds for success, make sure to optimize her equipment, skills, and attribute choices.
Sciel Best Attributes

The best attributes to prioritize for Sciel’s build are Agility and Luck.
Agility should come first, allowing Sciel to move fast so she can buff and debuff before enemies act, and it also scales with both of her weapons. Next, focus on Luck, as it pairs well with her critical hit bonuses and helps her remain a threat if she is the last character standing. Might comes last for some extra damage.
The recommended endgame Attributes for the Support Sciel Build are:
- Vitality: 0
- Might: 75
- Agility: 99
- Defense: 0
- Luck: 99
Sciel Foretell Mechanic Explained

Foretell is the core gimmick for Sciel. Most of her abilities are used to apply Foretell and apply Foretell stacks to enemies, marking them for later effects. Applying stacks with Sun skills grants Sun charges, which boosts AP generation when using Moon abilities. Consuming Foretell stacks with Moon skills grants Moon charges, which boosts AP generation when using Sun abilities.
Managing Sun and Moon charges is key to optimizing her performance. If both charges are present then it will trigger Twilight. During Twilight, Sciel deals extra damage, applies double Foretell with her applications, and then resets back to normal after two turns.

Consuming Foretell stacks during Twilight results in a significant damage increase. With Support Sciel you want to stack foretell quickly using Sun skills, then consume it with Moon skills for extra AP or damage depending on what your team needs. Mastering the management of Sun and Moon skills and charges is essential for maximizing Sciel’s damage increase.
Sciel Best Skills in Expedition 33
Choosing the best skills for Sciel in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is crucial for unlocking her full damage potential and support capabilities. Sciel’s unique playstyle revolves around stacking and consuming Foretell to deal critical hits, extend Twilight duration, and unleash devastating burst damage on single targets and groups alike.
To maximize Sciel’s effectiveness, focus on the Sciel Skills below.
Sealed Fate
Sealed Fate is Sciel’s signature move for high single target damage. Consuming Foretell stacks, Sealed Fate guarantees critical hits – especially when paired with her best weapon, Charnon. This skill is perfect for finishing off tough enemies or bosses, turning every stack of Foretell into a massive damage spike.
Final Path
Final Path is a must-have for extending Twilight duration, Final Path not only lets Sciel stay in her empowered state longer but also applies additional Foretell stacks. This means more opportunities to deal critical hits and set up for even bigger burst damage turns.
Twilight Dance
When Sciel enters Twilight state, Twilight Dance becomes a game-changer. It delivers huge damage, recovers AP, and keeps Sciel in the fight longer. This skill is essential for maintaining momentum in drawn-out battles and maximizing damage output during Twilight.
Marking Card
Applying Foretell stacks efficiently is key to Sciel’s kit, and Marking Card does just that. It sets up enemies for critical hits and synergizes perfectly with Sealed Fate and Final Path, ensuring you always have stacks to consume for burst damage.
Plentiful Harvest

Not only does this skill recover AP, but it also applies additional Foretell and deals damage, making it a versatile tool for both sustaining your team and keeping up the pressure on enemies.
For even more damage, consider skills like Phantom Blade and Dark Wave – both excel during Twilight state and can help Sciel deal additional damage when it matters most.
In summary, the best skills for Sciel in Expedition 33 are those that let her stack and consume Foretell efficiently, deal critical hits, and extend her Twilight duration. By focusing on Sealed Fate, Final Path, Twilight Dance, and synergistic skills like Marking Card and Plentiful Harvest, you’ll unlock Sciel’s true damage potential and make her an indispensable part of any team.
Sciel Best Weapons Explained

Sciel’s best weapons are Tisseron, Litheson, and Charnon.
When building Sciel, always keep her weapon’s element and scaling in mind. Charnon, her best weapon, thrives on critical hits, so stacking skills that guarantee or boost crits is ideal. Prioritize attributes like Agility and Luck to further increase her critical hit rate and overall damage output.
Tisseron
Early game one of the best options is Tisseron, it scales with Agility + Defense which are both great stats and it enhances Twilight (extra turn on entering, longer duration, more damage). The weapon’s scaling with Agility and Defense makes Tisseron a strong early-game choice, allowing you to maximize its effectiveness as you invest in these attributes. The extra turn becomes redundant after acquiring Cheater, but before then it’s excellent. Solid, with reliable scaling.
Litheson

Litheson is the endgame support weapon of choice, it scales with Agility + Luck which is great. It grants allies Greater Rush and debuffs enemies with Greater Slow. Allowing your team to have a major speed advantage. Additionally this weapon helps her greatly with AP generation allowing you to spam your two core abilities without ever running dry.
Charnon
For maximizing Sciel’s damage output, Charnon is Sciel’s default weapon and is considered the optimal late-game choice. Charnon’s passive effects guarantee critical hits during Twilight State, resulting in increased damage and excellent synergy with Sciel’s abilities.

How to Play Sciel
At battle start, focus on setting up Sciel’s opening moves by preparing buffs and positioning your team to maximize her support and damage potential.
Sciel doesn’t become completely ridiculous until Act 3 when her ability to give teammates double damage breaks the game, so in Acts 1–2 we do build her as a competent fighter-support hybrid.
Focused Foretell is the easy opener, it applies two stacks, or five if the target has none to get your stacks going, it’s cheap and effective.
Searing Bond adds five stacks to burning enemies and deals solid AoE damage on burning targets. With Lune or Maelle going first setting the fires up, this is one of the strongest early abilities possible. Lune going first with Wildfire into Sciel using Searing Bond will either kill or nearly kill any enemy and those that it does not kill will have five stacks on them for Sciel to work with on her next turn. This combo can also trigger a critical burn effect, greatly enhancing Sciel’s damage output against burning enemies.
Plentiful Harvest will consume all of your Foretell on a target to grant 1 AP per stack to an ally. Early game, this is very nice for your AP economy, this will let your high damage characters fire off their higher cost abilities early and often.
Intervention will give an ally an instant turn and +4 AP. It’s one of the best abilities in the game. With Cheater later, that one extra turn often becomes two turns in a row to your highest damage dealing character, which is usually good enough to end fights right there.
Spectral Sweep hits 5–7 times and adds a Foretell stack on each hit (crits add more). Great for stacking on bosses and chunky enemies.
Sealed Fate is the Multi-hit finisher. If Foretell is present on the enemy, each hit will consume a stack to double its damage. It flips Sciel into a damage dealer whenever you need to close out an enemy.
Early-Game Combo
Open with Focused Foretell (or Searing Bond if the target is burning). Stack further with Spectral Sweep on durable targets. Stacking Foretell and using these powerful skills can help stunlock bosses, allowing your team to control tough encounters and prevent dangerous attacks. Bank AP for your teammates via Plentiful Harvest when stacks are high; Intervention your carry to hand them your turn for more damage. Lastly, if cleanup is needed, Sealed Fate cashes Foretell into lethal damage. The Lune synergy is the real power early on Wildfire into Searing Bond gives large AoE damage and foretell application that can carry Acts 1–2 by itself.
Endgame Changes for Sciel
Act 3 is where Sciel becomes a pure pocket support and the party’s force multiplier. Replace Focused Foretell with Fortune’s Fury, which will target an ally to double their damage for one turn. This scales harder and harder as numbers uncap, making it far more valuable late (turning 3M into 6M matters more than turning 9,999 into 19,998 did). You will keep Plentiful Harvest, Searing Bond, Spectral Sweep, Sealed Fate, and most crucially Intervention.
Unlocking Painted Power further enhances Sciel’s damage output in the late game, as this passive ability becomes active and significantly boosts effectiveness after being acquired.
Endgame Combos
The late-game combat loop is very simple. Use Fortune’s Fury on your carry (Verso, Maelle, or Lune) for double damage. Intervention the same ally to give them your turn. Then watch the room evaporate. If anything lives, just repeat the cycle, it is a very simple late game rotation and Sciel pretty much just exists to enable your other companions.
Sciel Best Team and Companions
Support Sciel supercharges high-damage allies. Fortune’s Fury + Intervention turns Verso Follow Up/Phantom Stars/End Bringer and Free Aim shots into tactical nukes on demand. Lune Wildfire sets up Searing Bond; Sciel then doubles Lune’s burst and feeds her more AP for Lightning Dance/Genesis. Lastly Maelle, who is already capable of one-shotting everything in the game solo or as main dps, doubling her damage on top of her ridiculous kit ends encounters instantly and trivializes the game.
Team synergies are also vital. Pair Sciel with allies who can apply status effects like Bad Omen, which increases the damage enemies take. Skills like Fortune’s Fury can grant Sciel an immediate turn, letting her apply or consume Foretell stacks at the perfect moment for maximum impact.
