Review the Assassin Skill Tree in Enshrouded, which focuses on Dexterity Nodes, as well as Dagger damage, Explosive arrows, and Glider upgrades.

Enshrouded Assassin Skill Tree Overview
The Assassin Skill Tree is a mostly damage-focused tree designed to maximize the damage of Daggers, as well as introducing Explosive Arrows to your build. Its primary use case is the Dagger Build or Assassin playstyle with skills focused on Sneak Attack and Backstab bonus damage
Beyond raw damage, the Assassin tree excels at exploration and mobility skills, in particular, those focused on improving the Enshrouded Glider mechanic. Skills like Airborne allow your Glider to consume less Stamina while Updraft lets you extend your glide even further.

Enshrouded Assassin Skill Tree FAQ
1. How do you perform a Sneak Attack in Enshrouded?
Crouch to enter stealth, approach an unaware enemy from behind until the E prompt appears, then press E to trigger the attack for 900% increased damage. The game’s stealth system lacks clear detection indicators, so move slowly and use cover to stay undetected.
2. Does Sneak Attack work with a bow, or only daggers?
Sneak Attack is melee only and must be triggered with the E key at close range. For ranged builds, the damage bonus does not apply to bow shots.
3. Is Cutthroat worth investing in if I already have Sneak Attack?
Yes. Each of Cutthroat’s three levels adds 100% to your Sneak Attack damage for just 1 point each, making it the best return on investment in the entire tree for a stealth-focused playstyle.
4. Are Airborne and Updraft worth taking on non-Assassin builds?
Airborne’s 36% total Stamina reduction across three levels for 3 points makes it worth picking up on almost any build that uses the glider regularly. Updraft is more situational at 4 points and 100 Mana per use, but pairs well with Airborne if you want to cover serious vertical distance in a single flight.
5. What is the difference between Backstab Mastery and Sneak Attack, and should I take both?
Sneak Attack applies only to that opening strike on an unaware enemy, while Backstab Mastery’s 20% per level bonus applies to all attacks landed from behind. Both are worth taking on a dedicated Assassin build since they cover different parts of your damage rotation.
6. Is the Assassin tree useful for builds that do not use daggers?
Yes, partly. Airborne, Updraft, Fatal Precision, and the Dexterity nodes all benefit Archer builds directly. Pure melee or magic builds can still pick up the glider skills, but the bulk of the tree’s damage nodes are dagger or Dexterity-specific and will not apply.
