With Enshrouded’s latest Wake of the Water Update, many items were reworked including adding a plethora of new equipment options. Accessories were a core element to this update, which include two ring slots. While a few new items were added, some of the games originals were reworked and remain relevant meta accessories to use regardless of your playstyle. This guide aims to give you a run down of the most important accessories you should obtain, why, and how to use them.

Enshrouded Best Accessories Overview (Rings)

Accessories in Enshrouded are typically an afterthought when creating your build. While you can equip two rings, they play a massive role in your resource sustain, survivability, damage, or overall fun factor in Enshrouded. Most jewelry accessories (rings) can be found by defeating bosses and from chests. Silver and Gold chests give higher probabilities and are the best sources of accessories. However, certain bosses, like the Banshee’s in Moth’s Grove have a guaranteed drop for the Gemini Ring.

Thus, you’re best off marking every chest you come across via map markers. Then, after an hour or so of gameplay, circle back and recollect items from the chest for a chance at specific rings and or weapons. Some of the best accessories come in earlier zones, so you may have to double back if you’re at end game.

Also of note, you cannot (as of yet) craft or upgrade rings. They don’t have any gem slot, so they are limited in their capacity to be changed from their base function. Additionally, you can wear two rings of the same type, which is sometimes the best strategy for resource sustain or increase health.

Enshrouded Best Rings and Accessories (Update 8)

The best accessories in Enshrouded are the Gemini Ring and Ring of the Ancients. Gemini Ring has the highest percentage health leech (7%), it’s easy to obtain early in the game, and it has 7% increased Fell damage. Considering most of the mobs in the game are Fell, plus you need extra healing built in (especially melee), this ring is by far the best for general builds and playstyles.

Coming in second is Ring of the Ancients. It has damage for all playstyles and recovery. If you have good survivability due to passive healing (life leech, water aura, battle heal), than one or more Ring of the Ancients is the play. Below are the top 8 accessories in Enshrouded ranked from best to worst:

Gemini Ring: incredible burst healing built in so you can do damage without needing to heal.
Ring of the Ancients: damage and resource sustain wrapped in one.
Stat Rings (Ring of Health / Stamina / Mana): good for boosting stats when skills scaling is critical to the build.
Elemental Rings (Frost / Thundersnow / Burning Light): good for elemental specific weapon styles.
Ring of the Heir: helpful fighting in the Shroud and against Fell mobs.
Mother’s Eye: crafting utility ring.
Ring of Endless Life: early life leech ring.
Sigil Ring of the Elder Guard: beginning game stat boost.

8. Sigil Ring of the Elder Guard

Sigil Ring of the Elder Guard effects and how to get:

+ 25 Health

How to get: Looted from Fell near Enemy Braelyn Bridge

The Sigil Ring of the Elder Guard is likely your first ring you can find. Found near the Braelyn Bridge, which you traverse with a grappling hook, you can go under and kill the Fell to find this ring.

The rings is super helpful when you’re starting out with nothing. You can find this ring as early as level 3, and with some fur clothing, have much more survivability in just a few minutes of playing Enshrouded.

Sigil Ring of the Elder Guard is really only used at the very beginning of Enshrouded, but extra stats are valuable. Shortly after, you can find the Ring of Endless Life near the same area in Springlands, giving you two accessories early and a huge boost to your overall survival.

7. Ring of Endless Life

Ring of Endless Life effects and how to get:

+ 6% Poison Resistance
+ 6% Life Leech Chance
How to get: Found in a golden chest east of the first elixir well.

The Ring of Endless Life is the first Life Leech ring you can find. Head east from the first Elixir Well in the Springlands and you’ll find a golden chest. Loot the chest and you’ll get this ring to combine with the Sigil Ring of the Elder Guard for extra stats. Mark the spot on your map then come back after an hour and reloot if you need extra life leech healing.

You should use this on every build especially early in Enshrouded. There is a better ring found a little bit to the North with a 7% Life Leech chance, but at the very outset of the game this is a huge boon to survival. With two Ring of Endless Life, your survival will dramatically increase until you get better crafting, food, and gear options.

6. Mother’s Eye

+ 10% Wood Chopping Strength
How to get: Reward from Quest On Fertile Ground, given by the Farmer Survivor.

The ring of Mother’s Eye is a niche but helpful accessory needed for endless chopping of trees. You’ll get 10% wood chopping strength, which stacks on other bonuses that helps you chop down trees. While this doesn’t seem like much, it’s super helpful when you need to chop down an entire forest to build housing structures, or materials for your base.

The ring is given by the farmer vendor with the “On Fertile Ground” quest. You’ll need to find this survivor first, complete some quest, then it will be marked on the map for you. It’s a simple quest chain you shouldn’t skip because every build needs a little help chopping down endless trees to finish off your dream new build.

5. Ring of the Heir

+ 6% Increased Shroud Damage
+ 10% Shroud Resistance

How to get: world drop and obtained randomly from Lootable Chests or Bosses in the Veilwater Basin.

The Ring of the Heir accessories is a new addition with Veilwater Basin zone and Update 7. This ring has a ton of bonuses, including 2 minutes more in the shroud shroud resistance, and increased shroud damage. The Shroud damage can be helpful on many builds, specifically a Archer using Shroud Arrows.

Another reason to use this ring is Frost Resistance +2. This can be helpful when traversing the previous zone Albaneve Summits. This area only gives you a few seconds until you freeze to death and +2 adds a ton of time.

However, the major downside of this ring is the increased damage is only limited to Shroud. Moreover, it’s a world drop in Veilwater Basin so it’s not accessible until you reach end-game. But, the resistances, extra shroud time makes it worthy to add to your collection.

4. Elemental Rings (Frost / Thundersnow / Burning Light)

+ 14 Mana Regeneration
+ 6% Increased Shock Damage
+ 10% Shock Resistance

Throughout the world, you will find various elemental-based rings that add a specific elemental type of damage:

Ring of Frost (Ice damage) – Albaneve Summits chest or bosses
Ring of Thundersnow (Shock damage) – Veilwater Basin chest or bosses
Ring of the Burning Light (Fire damage) – Nomand Highlands chest or bosses

What’s nice about these rings is not only that they increase your elemental damage for ice, shock, or fire, but they also grant you the same elemental resistance. Plus, with an Eternal Ward, you can get another 9% or so resistance to shock, without using a single piece of gear.

The downside to these rings are, they require you to forgo an even more powerful damage added Ring of the Ancients which boost magic damage in general. Plus that ring has resource sustain for all three health, stamina, and mana. While the damage specific boost is nice, factoring in Wizard elemental skills to increase damage is a positive, the overall ease of acquisition and versatility of Ancients makes it rank higher on this list.

3. Stat Rings (Ultimate Ring of Health / Stamina / Mana)

If you’re looking to boost overall stats, then the Ultimate rings are going to be for you. They come in health, stamina, and mana types. Plus, they each can be found in all the zones starting with Lesser Rings in Springlands, all the way up to the current highest Ultimate.

The strength of these rings are they increase a specific stat and regeneration of that type. Take health for instance, this is important to boost with skills like Battle Heal which give you health based on your overall health pool. Plus the resource sustain is nice if you’re still struggling at any stage in Enshrouded.

Where the ring struggles is damage. Since they don’t come in strength, dexterity, or intelligence, there’s no way to increase your overall damage directly. However, these stat based rings are good choice if your build is dependent on reaching a certain stat goal or you need more regeneration.

2. Ring of the Ancients

+ 5 Mana Regeneration
+ 4 Stamina Regeneration
+ 5% Melee Damage
+ 5% Magic Damage
+ 5% Ranged Damage

The second best ring in Enshrouded is Ring of the Ancients because its useful for every build. You get regeneration across three stats, plus damage across three types. The damage of 5% is noticeable, and stacks with food damage added bonuses as well. Moreover, you can equip two Ancient rings for a huge boost in damage if your survivability can hold up.

Survivability is the only issue with the ring and why we rank it as second best. Enshrouded is brutal hard unless you spend countless hours farming materials for potions, bandages, etc. Most players don’t want to do that and enjoy built in passive healing (next on our list). That’s why the best setup is one Ring of the Ancients and one Gemini Ring. Speaking of which, that’s the best on this list and it’s next.

1. Gemini Ring

Gemini Ring effects and how to get:

How to get: Looted from Fell Banshee in Moth’s Grove

The Gemini Ring is the best accessory for Enshrouded due to its 7% life leech chance, fell damage increase, and ease of acquisition. Found by killing one Fell Banshee mob in Moth’s Grove, the Gemini Ring can be farmed quickly to get two within the first few hours of Enshrouded. You can use one or more rings your entire playthrough and have built in healing while doing damage.

The built in healing stacks with health generation but also Battle Heal, Life Burst, and Water Aura. For melee builds in particular, having passive healing while dealing damage is critical. Plus, the healing is based off your damage done. Therefore, you want to stack bonuses to critical chance and critical damage. Then you can see huge HP numbers when it lands. We’ve seen over 1,000 HP back on a single hit, essentially healing you to full without using a single potion or bandage. If you’re really struggling, use two instead of one!

However, if you don’t need survival and aren’t fighting Fell mobs in the Shroud, swap to Ring of the Ancients. Some builds just have innate survival and they can sacrifice the Gemini ring for more stats, regen, or damage. However, we feel its best to always use one, just to give you that extra random burst heal with life leeching.
