Coal is an important crafting resource in Enshrouded that produces various Metal bars such as Steel Bars or Silver Bars when combined with the proper ore.
Enshrouded Coal Location
The best location to find Coal in Enshrouded is at the mine located just West of Rothstep in the Albaneve Summits region. You will likely find this location as you are exploring, or you can fly there directly from the Albaneve Summits Ancient Spire by heading Northwest and landing along the cliff side.
Alternate Locations
Coal is located throughout the Albaneve Summits region in multiple locations via smaller veins that can be mined or it can also be looted from containers or dropped from enemies. The Rothstep Mine location remains the best farming spot however where hundreds of Coal can be mined quickly and easily.
Enshrouded Coal Uses
Coal can be can be combined with other Ore types in Enshrouded to create various Metal Bars at the Blast Furnace which are extremely important for the endgame as well as Glass. Note that many of these recipes can also replace using Charcoal at the Smelter, which effectively saves you a step if you prefer farming resources rather than waiting to make Charcoal.
- 20 Steel Bars = 20 Iron Ore + 40 Coal
- 20 Silver Bars = 20 Iron Ore + 40 Coal
- 20 Tin Bars = 20 Tin Ore + 20 Coal + 4 Wood Acid
- 20 Iron Bars = 20 Iron Ore + 40 Coal
- 20 Copper Bars = 20 Copper Ore + 20 Coal
- 20 Bronze Bars = 10 Copper Bars + 4 Tin Bars + 10 Coal
- 20 Glass = 15 Coal + 40 Sand
