How to Craft Arrows and Unlock Recipes
In Enshrouded, your ability to craft and use arrows is directly tied to the Hunter survivor. While the most basic arrows can be crafted instantly from your manual player inventory using simple materials like Twigs, nearly all advanced, metal, and elemental arrows must be unlocked and crafted at the Hunter’s station. The two exceptions to this are Bone Arrows which come from the Collector and Eternal Arrows via questing.

Prioritizing the rescue and placement of the Hunter is the single most important step in upgrading your ranged combat prowess. Be sure to keep a healthy supply of basic resources like Twigs and Metal on hand, as you will be crafting arrows constantly!
Last thing to note on arrows is that they come in three forms:
- Normal: no extra effect besides poison
- Special: creates special effects like damage over time (DOT), light, or area (AOE) explosions
- Eternal: doesn’t deplete after you fire them
Understanding Arrow Damage and Effects
The damage dealt by an arrow is not static. Arrows fall into two main categories:
- Physical Damage: The main arrows (Wooden, Copper, Steel, etc.) deal straightforward physical damage that scales directly with your Bow’s base damage.
- Elemental/Status Damage: Specialized arrows (Poison, Explosive, Shroud) apply effects like damage-over-time (DoT), stun, or area-of-effect (AoE) damage.
Critically, the final damage you deal will always scale with your character’s Dexterity attribute and powerful passive skills found in the Ranger skill tree.

Also, special arrows like Explosive Arrows deal fire damage. This fire damage can be increased via the Wizard skill line with passive skills like Arsonist and Pyromaniac. Therefore, make sure you know what damage type you’re using and how it affect skills and even gems.
