Latest Update: February 2, 2026 – Categories: Best ESO Sets
Looking for the best healer gear in the Elder Scrolls Online (ESO)? This guide ranks the top five-piece PvE sets to maximize your healing, buffs, and group utility in any PvE content.

In ESO, the art of healing is more than just restoring health. Much like their tank counterparts, the “best” healers are those who balance between keeping their allies alive and providing offensive and defensive buffs. Effective healing in ESO is a synergy of raw healing output, buffs that amplify your party’s damage, and sustain tools that ensure everyone has the resources to continue the fight.
As you explore more challenging PvE content, particularly trials, groups will often demand specific gear setups with buffs to maximize efficiency. Therefore, this article will explain the top five-piece gear sets that every healer should consider, reflecting the best options for both the average player and those looking to optimize for high-end content.
This guide has been updated for the Update 46, the Season of the Worm Cult of the Elder Scrolls Online (ESO).

The best ESO Healer sets are Pillager’s Profit, Spell Power Cure, and Powerful Assault. They all have one thing in common, providing your group with powerful buffs that increases overall damage and efficiency. - Vestments of Olorime: another means to provide major courage but lacks mobility

Top Healer Sets – Ranked & Explained
8. Kagrenac’s Hope

Kagrenac’s Hope
LVL 50 – CP 160

(3 items) Adds 129 Magicka Recovery
(4 items) Adds 1206 Maximum Health
(5 items) Adds 222 Weapon and Spell Damage, Decreases the time it takes to resurrect an ally by 25%. When you successfully resurrect an ally, you restore 1720 Magicka.
When you’re first starting out in ESO PvE Healing, look to craft a set of Kagrenac’s Hope. Found in the Earth Forge, needing eight traits, this healer set has a good 2-5 set bonuses. The five piece not only adds weapon and spell damage, but decreases time to resurrect an ally by 25%. This bonus from gear also stacks with a champion point passive lowering resurrection time. The combination of the two, along with a Templar, gives you near instant resurrections.
As you advance in healing, look to have damage added sets. Ultimately, your goal, is to provide as much healing as needed, THEN, add damage added buffs. Major Courage, Minor Courage, unique buffs, etc. All of these that can stack add together into an entire team DPS increase. Thus, making your fights much easier than having lower DPS. Craft or buy this set early from traders, then look to move onto something that buffs your group.
Below is the summary of Kagrenance’s Hope in the Elder Scrolls Online:
- Type: Craftable (8 trait)
- Location: The Earth Forge
- DLC Required: None
- Best For: beginners
- Why It’s Meta: has good bonuses and helpful if people are dying
7. Sanctuary

Sanctuary
LVL 50 – CP 160
SET BONUS
(2 items) Adds 1206 Maximum Health
(3 items) Adds 4% Healing Taken
(4 items) Adds 1096 Maximum Magicka
(5 items) Increases your healing received by 10% for you and up to 11 group members within 10 meters of you. This bonus persists through death.
The next set to progress to is the Sanctuary set, coming from either Banished Cells dungeons. This set, once the five piece is equipped, gives your character green floating orbs around you. Any ally within 10 meters will gain 10% healing received. This buff isn’t “named” therefore it stacks with minor and major vitality essentially making allies easier to heal.
However, Sanctuary has a big downside in that it requires you to be within 10 meters. Oftentimes, the person needing the most healing, the tank, is 15+ meters away and misses out on this bonus. Moreover, the 2-3 bonuses aren’t ideal for healers because there is no recovery. But, the dungeons are easy to clear and it’s a good starter set that can apply to an entire trials group.
Below is the summary of Sanctuary in the Elder Scrolls Online:
- Type: Dungeon
- Location: The Banished Cells I, The Banished
- DLC Required: None
- Best For: your first trials set
- Why It’s Meta: boost healing and stacks with Minor and Major vitality
6. The Worm’s Raiment

The Worm’s Raiment
LVL 50 – CP 160
SET BONUS
(2 items) Adds 129 Magicka Recovery
(3 items) Adds 1096 Maximum Magicka
(4 items) Adds 129 Magicka Recovery
(5 items) Grants 145 Magicka Recovery to you and up to 11 other group members within 28 meters of you. This bonus persists through death.
The next set you should target as a healer is The Worm’s Raiment. Even though these seems like a “noob” set, it’s still used by tanks and healers in high end trials. The five piece bonus gives 145 magicka recovery to your entire trials group. And unlike Sanctuary, the range is 28 meters! Another bonus is the 2 and 4 piece bonuses give Magicka Recovery filling you up with resources.
To collect the Worm’s Raiment, look to complete the Vaults of Madeness dungeon on normal or Veteran difficulty. This is in Coldharbour on the map. Likely, you can use this set for a very long time and should hold onto any pieces of gear you find. Your goal from here is to start doing trials in order to get even better sets.
Below is the summary The Worm’s Raiment in the Elder Scrolls Online:
- Type: Dungeon
- Location: Vaults of Madness
- DLC Required: None
- Best For: better trials set
- Why It’s Meta: helps entire group magicka recovery and sustain
5. Vestments of Olorime

Perfected Vestment Of Olorime
LVL 50 – CP 160
SET BONUS
(2 items) Adds 129 Magicka Recovery
(3 items) Gain Minor Aegis at all times, reducing your damage taken from Dungeon, Trial, and Arena Monsters by 5%.
(4 items) Adds 129 Magicka Recovery
(5 items) Adds 1096 Maximum Magicka, Casting abilities that leave an effect on the ground in combat will create a circle of might for 5 seconds. You and your group members in the circle gain Major Courage for 20 seconds, increasing your Weapon and Spell Damage by 430 for 20 seconds. This effect can occur once every 10 seconds.
The most important buff healers run in PvE is Major Courage, increasing weapon and spell damage by 430. There are multiple ways to get this and one effective way is the Vestment of Olorime. This set comes from the Trial Cloudrest and requires that you place a ground based circle spell to trigger the buff. If you or others step into the cirlce, you gain major courage for 20 seconds and dramtically increase your damage.
The obvious downsides to Olorime is the lack of mobility. In some PvE like dungeons or group arenas, its nearly impossible to see high uptime on the buff. However, certain trials have very long damage phases lasting 30 seconds to 2 minutes. This is where Olorime is useful. However, there is one better set, that is mobile, and is obtained through dungeons thus easier to get!
Below is the summary Vestments of Olorime in the Elder Scrolls Online:
- Type: Trial
- Location: Cloudrest
- Requires DLC: Summerset
- Best For: Major Courage buff
- Why It’s Meta: Healers are generally responsible for Major Courage buff
4. Master Architect

Master Architect
LVL 50 – CP 160
SET BONUS
(2 items) Adds 1096 Maximum Magicka
(3 items) Gain Minor Slayer at all times, increasing your damage done to Dungeon, Trial and Arena Monsters by 5%
(4 items) Adds 129 Weapon and Spell Damage
(5 items) When you use an Ultimate ability while in combat, you and the closest 5 group members within 28 meters of you gain Major Slayer for 1 second per 10 Ultimate spent, increasing your damage done to Dungeon, Trial, and Arena Monsters by 10%
If you want the most burst potential from your group via a healer, the best set is Master Architect. Found in the trial Halls of Fabrication in Morrow, this set can grant Major Slayer to five group members. Major Slayer gives a flat 10% increase damage to PvE monsters, and is a hard buff to source. The idea with Master Architect is to save up your ultimate to 500 then use it on a boss fight or a burn phase where time is critical.
While this set is amazing for burst, it does have some negatives. First, the set only works on 5 closest group members. Therefore, two healers or a tank have to run it in order to get all the DPS the buff. Additionally, it requires holding your ultimate in what seems like forever. Plus, if your group wipes, well there goes your “500 stack.” However, Master Architect makes four player arena content easy mode and is most helpful clearing Veteran Hard Mode dungeons.
Below is the summary Master Architect in the Elder Scrolls Online:
- Type: Trial
- Location: Halls of Fabrication
- DLC Required: Morrowind
- Best For: Boss Burns
- Why It’s Meta: on demand Major Slayer
3. Powerful Assault

Powerful Assault
LVL 50 – CP 160
SET BONUS
(2 items) Adds 1206 Maximum Health
(3 items) Adds 1096 Maximum Stamina
(4 items) Adds 129 Weapon and Spell Damage
(5 items) When you cast an Assault ability while in combat, you and up to 5 group members within 12 meters gain 307 Weapon and Spell Damage for 15 seconds.
In ESO, buffs are labeled as major or minor and those two sources can stack. However, you cannot cast two types of Major Buffs and expect double the effect. This is what makes Powerful Assault a meta set, the buff you get from using the five piece isn’t a named buff. Therefore it stacks with all the other buffs, giving your group a huge advantage. You can obtain Powerful Assault via Imperial Sewers in Imperial City or buy it from guild traders.
Like Master Architect, you only give 5 other group members the buff within 12 meters. Therefore, mostly tanks and healers run this, with two sources always being active in a trial. But, this set is not limited to just healers and makes it great on any non-DPS support build. Moreover, you can “back bar” the set and activate Echoing Vigor on your back bar and swap to your front and maintain the buff. This is why Powerful Assault is all around one of the best five-piece gear sets in all of ESO and especially for healers.
Below is the summary Powerful Assault in the Elder Scrolls Online:
- Type: PvP
- Location: Imperial Sewers
- Requires DLC: Imperial City
- Best For: Buffing group damage
- Why It’s Meta: Unique weapon and spell damage buff
2. Spell Power Cure

Spell Power Cure
LVL 50 – CP 160
SET BONUS
(2 items) Adds 1096 Maximum Magicka
(3 items) Adds 1096 Maximum Magicka
(4 items) Adds 129 Weapon and Spell Damage
(5 items) When you overheal yourself or an ally, you give the target Major Courage for 5 seconds which increases their Weapon and Spell Damage by 430.
The longest running meta healer set is Spell Power Cure because it’s the easiest way to source Major Courage buff. When you overheal (healing above 100%), the ally gains Major Courage for five seconds. There is no range cap on this buff, therefore, your healing over time will constantly retrigger this buff even if the ally is way off in the distance. Moreover, there isn’t a cap on players, so one player can run SPC and buff the entire group with high uptime. It’s simply a superior version of Olomire and it’s much easier to get!
You can find SPC in the White-Gold Tower dungeon within Imperial City. If you had to pick a weakness to the set it would be the low time added for Major Courage and the lack of magicka recovery on 2-4 pieces. But, most times, even if someone gets chunked and lost their health, it’s likely to come right back to 100% within seconds. Most “good” high end healers can maintain this buff 80-90% of the fight, dramatically increasing your chance of success. Thus, we consider it the second best overall five-piece in all of ESO and your number one target once you start doing dungeon PvE content.
Below is the summary Spell Power Cure in the Elder Scrolls Online:
- Type: Dungeon
- Location: White-Gold Tower
- Requires DLC: Imperial City
- Best For: Sourcing Major Courage
- Why It’s Meta: Easiest way to buff group damage
1. Pillager’s Profit

Perfected Pillager’s Profit
LVL 50 – CP 160
SET BONUS
(2 items) Adds 4% Healing Done
(3 items) Gain Minor Aegis at all times, reducing your damage taken from Dungeon, Trial, and Arena Monsters by 5%.
(4 items) Adds 1096 Maximum Magicka
(5 items) Adds 129 Magicka Recovery, Casting an Ultimate ability while in combat grants 5% of Ultimate spent, up to a max of 20, as Ultimate to up to 11 other group members within 12 meters every 2 seconds over 10 seconds. Group members can only be affected by this set once every 45 seconds.
The current meta five-piece set in PvE is Pillager’s Profit. This is a trials set found in Dreadsail Reef within High Isle. The five piece grants 5% of ultimate spent to your entire trials group over 10 seconds. The set adds so much value it’s hard not to use it for any content, especially since it applies to 11 other group members.
The trick to using Pillager’s Profit properly is being in range of other group members. With a range of 12 meters, you want to time and position yourself in between the tank(s) and DPS but also avoiding mechanics. This way every member of your trials group gets splashed with ultimate generation. The ultimate generation isn’t a unique buff, so it stacks with major and minor heroism, and that’s what the “sweaty” PvE’ers use in trials: Heroism Potions. While not cheap, this one-two combination is for the highest level of ESO PvE and those looking to complete Hardmode Trials with ease.
Below is the summary of Pillager’s Profit in the Elder Scrolls Online:
- Type: Trial
- Location: Dreadsail Reef
- Requires DLC: High Isle
- Best For: ultimate generation
- Why It’s Meta: most useful buff to your group stacks with Major Heriosm Potions
How to Choose the Right Healer Set for Your Build
When it comes to chosing the right Healer set, make sure you start with the fundementals first: survival. This means, your number one priority is to keep your group alive. Typically, you’ll need a lot of resource sustain at first vs. raw healing power. Therefore, focus on magicka recovery and max magicka as your two primary stats.
As you progress as a healer, look to souce damage adding sets that buff your groups overall damage. Work towards collecting all the meta sets so you can swap them in and out depending on what the tank and or other healers are running. This will give you more versatility than other healers and likely keep you getting invited back to that hardcore trials group.
