ESO Gold Coast Bazaar Guide 2026

ESO’s Gold Coast Bazaar is a new earnable-rewards marketplace coming in 2026, where players can spend a new currency called Trade Bars to get cosmetics and other items, with the big theme being player choice.

ESO Gold Coast Bazaar Overview

The Gold Coast Bazaar arrives on March 25, 2026, and is one of the new core systems coming to Elder Scrolls Online in 2026 Roadmap as part of the shift away from Chapters and into the new Seasons model, starting with Season 0. In simple terms, it’s a new earnable-rewards marketplace where you spend a new currency called Trade Bars in order to obtain cosmetics and other items, with the big theme being player choice.

Instead of the old approach, where a lot of rewards were tied to separate systems and limited-time event loops, this is ZOS trying to unify things and give players more choice over what they actually earn from their in-game efforts.

Gold Coast Bazaar Location

From our initial impressions, it’s believed that the Gold Coast Bazaar will be located in the Gold Coast zone, which will also be made free to access for all players.

Gold Coast Bazaar Items List

We don’t yet know the full extent of items that players can purchase in the Bazaar, but it has been said that over 100 items will be up for purchase at launch, with more on the way. The items available can include cosmetics, mounts, consumables, and more, some of which were available as exclusive Crown Crate or Crown Store items that have since left the game.

Some Bazaar offerings will rotate in and out with the start and end of each Season, but many consistent evergreen items will be offered, too. The goal with this rotation is to ensure there’s always a healthy representation of different types of rewards available at all times.

Examples of Evergreen Items available through the Bazaar include the Grand Gallery of Tamriel home, Dibella’s Exaltation armor style, Gold Road Recall customized action, Outfit Tokens, and more.

Rotating items associated with Season Zero include items such as the Morthal Jarl Finery costume, the Dragon’s Treasure Trove furnishing, Mara’s Spring Chicken pet, and more.

On certain occasions, you can also find brand-new items in the Bazaar, most often associated with an upcoming event (which initially the Impresario will continue to offer). For example, in April, you can buy fragments for various Jester’s Festival-themed rewards. As a reminder, Trade Bars are completely replacing Event Tickets as an in-game currency.

Gold Coast Bazaar Currency: Trade Bars

Trade bars are the new currency which players can use to purchase items in the Gold Coast Bazaar.

Trade bars can’t be purchased with crowns, and there’s no cap planned for trade bars.

How To Earn Trade Bars

Trade bars are earned through Tamriel Tomes as part of the new ESO Seasons coming in 2026.

They are available through all Tome tracks, including the free track and the premium tracks. So even if you never buy a premium Tome, you can still earn trade bars just by playing the game, then spend them in the Gold Coast Bazaar on items you actually want.

In ESO Season Zero, up to 9,000 Trade Bars are available as part of the Tome’s free offerings. However, an additional 1,500 Trade Bars are available from the paid versions of the Tome, too.

It seems that there are also other ways of obtaining Trade Bars to use in the Gold Coast Bazaar. For example, event tickets are going away and will be replaced by Trade Bars: players will receive 100 Trade Bars for every 1 Event Ticket they hold. Don’t fear, event rewards (including morphing collectibles) will also be converted to maintain their value now that they are available for Trade Bars instead of Tickets.

There are further examples of ZOS trying to unify reward systems into fewer, more consistent currencies and progression paths.

ESO Seasons Explained

Seasons are the new content model replacing Chapters in 2026. Chapters were large themed expansions that could take up to 18 months to build, and that long pipeline often limited the dev team’s ability to react quickly to player feedback or make meaningful pivots mid-cycle.

The new Seasons model is still quarterly, but it’s meant to be less formulaic and more experimental. Instead of repeating a predictable annual pattern, seasons can deliver a wider mix of content and improvements, including new zones, new systems, and potentially even new classes, with more room to adjust based on feedback.

Another key part of the Seasons shift is access. Starting in 2026, any new features should be available to everyone for free as long as you own the game, which is meant to reduce confusion about what players can access based on which chapters they bought in the past.

That’s also where Tamriel Tomes and the Gold Coast Bazaar come in. Without Chapter sales, ESO still needs a monetization path to support ongoing development. Tamriel Tomes provide that option, while still keeping a free reward track for everyone and placing a big emphasis on earnable rewards through trade bars and the Bazaar.
