Reset Attributes Fast!
In the Elder Scrolls Online, there are three main attributes: Health, Magicka, and Stamina. These three Core Attributes directly affect the raw stats of your character, making you more powerful in combat. For a more in-depth explanation we recommend looking at our Attributes Guide. For now, just know that similar to how Skills work in ESO, Attributes likewise play an important part in your character’s playstyle and build.
At any point during the process of playing you might want to change the composition and allocation of your Attributes. The most common change players make is switching from a Magicka-based build to a Stamina-based build and vice versa, or to a more advanced Hybrid build.
How to Reset Attributes in ESO
If at any point you would like to change the allocation of your Attributes there are a few quick ways to do so. Players can use either the free Armory Station from the Crown Store placed within one of your player homes, use an Attribute Respecification Scroll, or use the appropriate Shrine of Rededication.
Using An Armory Station To Reset Attributes
Let’s start with the most cost-effective method first, the Armory Station. The station itself is free and available from the Crown Store. Simply place it as a furnishing in one of your homes to get started. The Armory Station allows players to make multiple slots to load character builds from. Note that these builds are saved from the player’s current loadout at the time of saving the build.
When you first place down your Armory Station it will come with two “empty” build slots. You can use these slots to save any build your character currently is using, including all equipped items, champion points and of course skills. To exploit the Armory system to allow us to reset our skills for free, simply keep one of these build slots as empty at all times. Then, any time you want to reset your skill points, just go back to your Armory station and load into your blank build and you’ll find all your Attributes, Champion Points, and Skill points refunded to you.
The benefit of this method is it is completely free, but keep in mind that this method resets everything about your build, including Champion Points, Attributes, and Mundus Stone, and will even remove your Vampire or Werewolf curse if you have it.

Using Respec Scrolls to Reset Attributes in ESO
Players in ESO can use the Attribute Respecification Scroll, which will reset all your attribute points without having to travel or spend any gold. This is both the most convenient but also the most expensive method, as one scroll from the Crown Store will cost 700 Crowns. However, there are a couple ways you can dodge this hefty price.
New players will get this item for free at least once as a Level Up Reward for hitting character level 43. Occasionally you can receive these scrolls as a Daily Login Reward as well, so be sure to check the in-game calendar for potential availability.

Using Shrines of Rededication to Reset Attributes in ESO
By far the most popular option for resetting attributes in ESO is heading to a Shrine of Rededication and making an offering of gold.
Where is the Respec Shrine for my Alliance?
Each Alliance in The Elder Scrolls Online has a different location for its Shrine Of Rededication.
- Aldmeri Dominion – Shrine to Stendarr/S’rendarr located within Elden Root in the Grahtwood zone.
- Daggerfall Covenant – Shrine to Stendarr located within Wayrest in the Stormhaven zone.
- Ebonheart Pact – Shrine to Stuhn located within Mournhold in the Deshaan zone.

How expensive is it to Reset Attributes in ESO?
Once you’ve traveled to your alliance capital and approached the Rededication Shrine, you’ll have to pay the associated gold respec cost to reset your Attributes. It costs 50 gold per Attribute Point, which at max level means a total of 64 Attribute Points and a total possible 3200 gold to pay. Note this is much cheaper than the associated gold cost for Skill Point respecs.
