At first glance, some thought it was just an Easter egg. But the Starfield subreddit quickly lit up, pulling in hundreds of comments and theories. Bethesda seems to be teasing the name of Starfield’s next expansion on the 2 year anniversary of the game’s release. But what does it mean?
“Terran” almost always points to Earth and humanity’s origins. In Starfield, Earth’s collapse is a central piece of the lore, so any callback to Terra hints at unfinished business with our home planet. “Armada” isn’t subtle either – it means massive fleets, organized for war. Put the two together, and the possible backstories start to narrow: a powerful Earth-linked faction returning to shake up the galaxy.
Multiple Theories So Far
Some fans believe the Terran Armada could be a brand-new faction, one capable of forcing rivals like the United Colonies and Freestar Collective into uneasy alliances.
