Like all companions in The Outer Worlds 2, you can bring Marisol into combat and conversations, shaping her arc through your decisions. However, she won’t blindly follow orders. How to Recruit Marisol

Marisol can be recruited to your party upon visiting the Zyranium Manufactory VII, located in the Golden Ridge region of Planet Dorado. To recruit Marisol to your party you will first need to complete the quest called “Beginning at the Endpoint” within the Zyranium Manufactory.

Marisolâs Abilities

Marisol’s unique Companion Ability is called Torpifying Blast which stuns a single enemy and making all attacks against them a critical hit.
She also has two unique traits: Gadget Optimization, which causes any kills scored by the party to generate gadget energy and Threat Analyzer, which makes your Time Dilation and N-Ray Scanner gadgets show additional data on targets such as health and armor values.
Torpifying Blast (Companion Ability)
Using a gadget of her own design, she shoots energy at a specified target, stunning and showering them with magnetic energy. While the effect lasts, the target cannot move and all attacks against the target are critical hits.
Marisol’s ability must be fully charged and you must be targeting an enemy for it to be activated.
Gadget Optimization (Companion Trait)
Marisol improves your ability to generate energy, allowing any kills scored by the party to restore a small portion of your energy.
Threat Analyzer (Companion Trait)
Marisol’s goggles provide additional analysis. Looking at others while using either Tactical Time Dilation or the N-Ray Scanner shows strategic data, such as health, armor and the weapon they use.

Marisolâs Quest & Rewards
Marisolâs companion quest will likely revolve around her ties to the math based Order faction and the burden of past decisions sheâs hiding. Expect to make morally gray choices that challenge both her ideals and yours. Finishing her quest may unlock a unique support-based perk and influence your reputation with major powers. However, this is speculation and is unknown until the game release in which we will update this guide.
In The Outer Worlds 2, completing personal side quests for companions not only grants powerful perks but also solidifies their loyalty. Ignoring their requests or pushing them too far in the wrong direction could cause them to leave your crew entirely.

Best Builds & Companion Synergies

Recommended Builds for Marisol in The Outer Worlds 2 include:
- Sniper, stealth, or other precision weapon builds.
- Pairs well with support healers like Inez for survivability.
- Combine with Aza for a “glass cannon” assassin squad.
The best way to build Marisol is likely at range for weakpoint (headshot) damage. One of her abilities showcased in the recent companions trailer is some type stun or stagger effect which disables enemies from medium range. This should help reduce incoming damage to your party as well as enable Marisol to tackle tougher foes.
She could also be good to bring if your protagonist character is playing in melee range. Marisol taking targets at a distance while you charge in, could create a solid one-two punch combination.
Marisol Weapon and Armor Upgrades

Marisol’s primary weapon is the Pistol and she uses Light Armor for defense. Both Marisol’s weapon and armor have multiple upgrade options you can choose from throughout the game.
Marisol’s weapon and armor have both basic and advanced upgrade options. You must choose from one basic and one advanced upgrade, though you can change these upgrades freely throughout the game via the Party Upgrades menu at a Workbench.
Marisolâs Personality & Lore
Marisol is highly analytical, treating combat like solving a math equation. Expect cold, calculated dialogue and moral challenges. Moreover, there isn’t likely to be any romance options in the Outer Worlds 2 so expect little romantic interactions with this companion.
