15. Rookie’s Reward
Rookie’s Reward is a unique Sub-Machine Gun that levels up as you earn combat experience. While it starts out weak, if you dedicate enough time to using it the stats will grow substantially including increased Damage and Rate Of Fire. Even better, Rookie’s Reward can be obtained at the very start of the game by turning off the power to its locked case aboard your ship, The Incognito. This makes it a good starting weapon for all builds in The Outer Worlds 2.

12. Shrink Ray
The Shrink Ray is the most useful Science Weapon in The Outer Worlds 2, shrinking enemies down to boot-smashing size. However, this weapon requires a LOT of ammo, and strong enemies must be weakened first before you can use it on them. Still, this fulfills the Scientist fantasy quite well and is extremely strong at taking out enemies if you plan for it. The Shrink Ray works best on the Science Build.
Unique Effect: Shrinkify! Reduce foes down to boot-stomping size! Powerful enemies will resist this effect unless weakened first. They instead take damage and are briefly stunned from molecular trauma.

11. Pitchball Machine
The Pitchball Machine fires explosive pitchballs (really mini-rockets) that increase in damage with the amount of Tossball and Pitchball cards you have collected. What makes this weapon great is its high ammo capacity and rate of fire compared to slower explosive weapons such as the rocket launcher, plus it’s medium range allows you to “toss” explosives on grouped up enemies for tons of damage! The Pitchball Machine works best on the Explosives Build.
Unique Effect: Catch! Fires explosive pitchballs. Damage increases with the number of collected Tossball and Pitchball Cards.

The Wham-Bam! unique hammer is a legendary weapon that players can pick up by completing an optional bounty quest on the second planet, Dorado.
