The Drow inscription on this blade appears to have been recently carved. It translates to: “Though I have to leave you, I will dance forever in Eilistraee’s Light.”

Baldur’s Gate 3 Phalar Aluve Location
The Phalar Aluve is embedded inside a rock down in the Underdark (X: 116 Y: -192) during Act 1. You can free the sword by pulling it out and passing a DC 15 Strength Check, or pass a DC 15 Religion Check to release the magic holding it in place. Paladins only need to pass a DC 10 Religion Check to determine the needed ritual.
