Ensnaring Strike is a level 1 Conjuration spell in Baldur’s Gate 3 that gives your weapon attacks a chance to ensnared your enemy and deal additional Piercing damage.

Your attack summons thorny vines that possibly Ensnare your target.
Ensnared creatures cannot move and take 1d6 Piercing damage at the start of each turn. An ally can use their Help action to try and tear away the vines.
Cost: Action
Cost on hit: Bonus Action + Level 1 spell slot
Range: 18 m (60 ft)
Additional damage: +1d6 Piercing (Per turn)
Requires: Concentration
Higher Levels: The Ensnared condition deals an extra 1d6 Piercing damage per level.
Condition: Ensnared (Ensnaring Strike)
- Duration: 10 turns
- Cannot move and takes 1d6 Piercing damage per turn.
- Attack Rolls against the creature have Advantage, while the creature’s Attack Rolls and Dexterity Saving Throws have Disadvantage. Removed when Helped.
